  • You will still need to use the shiny section to generate a correct nature and ability egg without the shininess. Just cut the OT and SID from those two boxes so that they are blank and generate the seed for the nature and ability. Then do the steps to land on the right delay and get the right egg.

Also, if you want to try a short cut, you can check to see if the adjacent delay seed you landed on also has an egg of the right nature and ability in the lower frames and then use calls to Joey to get to it, instead of trying to land on the correct delay/seed.
No, there's definitely one in your game somewhere. :-) You should cross over into Kanto because you're RNG efforts may be weird until you do. They might not be, though. Let me know if you succeed without actually going to Kanto.
Once you save, you are working with that save file every time you soft reset the game or turn it off without saving, so the roamer positions just prior to the save are the only ones that count for generating your target time.

However, the roamer positions after you get back into the game help you find where you landed, on your seed time or not. They're very useful.

So check your roamers again and do a new save. Don't forget about Latios/Latias in Kanto or wherever (farthest right of the map).
Check your date and time first. Check that you set your DS to one minute before that target time. Check that you put in your Roamer positions correctly. If you're not sure, do a new save while making note of their positions.

Then, check to see if you gave yourself a wide enough range of adjacent seeds. If you are using Pikatimer, go +/-99 for delays and about +/-5 for seconds. If you're not using Pikatimer, then you can use +/-20 for delays.
All right. Maybe tell him good night, then. I guess I'll log off then. I was only hanging about to see if I could wrap up that trade.
Yes, that's right. :-) Without the GBA card, you'll always miss it. You'll hit 496 or 498.
You shouldn't have to calibrate again.

Your game will have a tendency on any given year, to land you on either odd or even delays, not both. So you do need a GBA game in the slot if you want to stay on the same year. If you don't want to, then you must switch to another year if your delays are usually odd or usually even.

I have a guide on my thread for Pikatimer. It's not that hard and I highly recommend you use it. Maybe not the first time you RNG, but definitely soon after, because it is better with Pikatimer.
I put in a 3rd gen game when I want to switch the delay, from odd to even or even to odd, yes. It might make you have to adjust Pikatimer again, but that's about all.

You may get a frame of 1, 3 or 5 on a different year. Also, you may not have your delays high enough to see the odd frame delays. If you're using Pikatimer, you can go much higher on the delays. I think you can do this as well if you use Emloop, which is another timer.

However, you can successfully RNG an even frame by simple getting down to two eggs, rejecting one and taking the last.
That one is really good, as well. I just like Timid/Modest. I like running ScarfKiss still on my teams. As for stats though, yeah, the Calm one is better. The best one I have myself is PokeGuy's Timid one. The SpAtk stat is a little low on it though.
Sorry to hear that. I believe if it had changed, you'd have had the best XD Togepi on the site.
About your XD Togepi from DMP...After you Pal Parked the thing to your 4th Gen cart, did you try to evolve it? If it's going to change abilityies, it won't do it untill AFTER you evolve it.
I'll add those to my reading list. Thanks. :-)

Yeah, you must be having exams just now. I hope you do well.
Yes, I can help you with HGSS breeding. I have a guide for that too, but any time you have trouble, just VM me.

Telling me the starting frame for Emerald helps a lot. :-) Now at least I know my starting point. I'll read the guides again and see if it makes more sense now that I know this.
DFE has a nice Solrock, and an alright Adamant Electabuzz, but I think I have the best Attack+ one, it's Naughty Nature, and it can work quite well.

Special Move: Follow Me, Cross Chop

I use AR code for Rare Candy and Poke Balls. I just Master Ball everything that sucks and just over power and rest to sweep through the game fast.
Hi, Miilanda. I notice you do RNG on Emerald and I very much want to learn to do breeding and catching on Emerald. Would you be willing to give me some help (answer questions when I get stuck) exchange for pokes on my thread? I do use the help thread, but sometimes I find it takes a while to get an answer. For example, the guides are very vague about just how we go about resetting to get our delay. I know how to do that in DPPT/HGSS, but there's no DS clock to reset in Emerald.
