However, that 0 in there I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be in there or not, because the 2nd half came out as af4. So I put def4af4 in the reporter and what were the first 6 frames (monter IVs)?

31 / 0 / 26 / 27 / 29 / 31

so i RUSHED into the tallgrass and captured the first mon I could!!!!

Well, you know man, in my experience so far, it seeeeeeeeems that the PID is "tied" to the IVs for eggs. I could be wrong, but that suuuuuuuuure is what it looks like to me. I suppose you could just wait different amounts of time before pickup and "hope" for some frame with the same IVs but a different PID, but off hand I can't really imagine any other way.

28 / I / I / X / 31 / I seed, but with a 27 instead. Still hopeful though. :) I'll probably look at 5 more seconds tonight.

cheers for the help - I use a stopwatch as my timer, I much prefer an external clock as it won't lag and I don't always have to be at the PC. I think I've cracked it for the most part anyway! Gonna have a think for some TR mons, but I really need my wifi sorted to get parents from 4th gen :/ You should do an Adamant and Jolly Hihidaruma with your spread :naughty:

Kaphotics and Omegadonut created it. Kaphotics actually came up with several useful RNG Related Codes, but I mainly use the MTIVRNG code.

Here's how it works. Go to your badge screen. Press Select (do NOT press select ANYWHERE ELSE). Then press the little button in the bottom Left Hand Corner to look at your trainer card. Your money will have changed to a new number, write that down, then flip your trainer card over and you'll notice that your ID has changed too, write that down.

These two numbers will make up your MTIVRNG, and you can use them to predict the IVs of the next monster you encounter (stationary, wild, sweet scented, fossil, gift, roamer, etc) and the next egg you get. Omegadonut has a post on how to do that here. Monster IVs will be (typically) frames 1-6 (roamers are slightly different) and eggs will be 8-13.

Using the MTIVRNG check code, resetting about 3-5 times on a given second, and going through about 9 seconds, I came across maybe 2-3 "okay" consistent-seeds that gave 28 / 19 / 1 / 23 / 31 / 12 and the like. Aaaaaalmost useable. No double 31s yet, but I'm sure I'll find one tomorrow. Thanks for the help.

I like using the check code so I can see what Monster IVs that second will give too! :3
