Bug Reports v4 -- POST BUGS HERE https://www.smogon.com/forums/ps-bug-report-form/

Residual damage from Gmax moves (Volcalith, Wildfire, Cannonade and Vine lash) should go before leftovers. In showdown, this is true for volcalith, but for example, it doesn't work as intended for vine lash. Leftovers recovery occurs before vine lash, thus potentially leading to unintended...

VGC related mechanic/interaction that doesn't work properly on showdown: Eject Pack on a pokémon with drought (let's say, torkoal) vs pokémon with intimidate that's faster than torkoal, for example, Incineroar. What should happen (what happens on cartridge): Incineroar intimidates torkoal...

As far as I'm aware, Mega evolution triggers a speed recalculation on the mon that mega evolves (that's why Mega Swampert can get the rain boost the same turn it mega evolves)

Yeah but speed tiers are calculated right before the turn starts, at least in gen 7. In this case, pelipper switches in and as soon as it does it looks like seismistoad gets the speed boost

Do we know if speed mechanics have changed? Just saw a twitch stream where Seismitoad outsped a scarf lucario in turn 1 with a pelipper switch in Proof:

Hidden Power didn't change typing when powered up by Normalium Z so I'd say it's fair to assume that it would stay as max strike

Do we know if weight based moves fail against Dynamax pokémon? I tried using low kick vs a dynamax mon during the main story and it failed (there weren't any accuracy/evasion drops/boosts)

I can confirm that it's indeed in the game and you can get it very early in the game.

So Snorlax has Immunity and from earlier images we know its items is Sitrus berry. Is it fair to assume that either it lost access to gluttony or pinch berries were nerfed? Aegislash nerf is understandable, at least for vgc. Keep in mind that VGC formats haven't been kind to Aegislash recently...

Do we know if pinch berries are nerfed? Snorlax was holding a sitrus berry in the Battle tower rental teams

Stomping Tantrum makes contact, and we know that tutor moves are in. That could help I guess

What are you thoughts on Dragapult and Hatterene base stats? I think Dragapult is way too fast, if it doesn't swords dance I don't see how it's better than Hydreigon. Hatterene looks really solid, as long as it learns Trick Room (remember tapu lele?) it's one of the best standalone mons we've...

Bug Reports v2.0 (READ OP BEFORE POSTING!!)

I did some further testing on this. I recreated the same battle both in Showdown and on the 3DS, to show the differences between both of them. Before talking about the replays, I'm gonna share the EV Spread I used, so that we can have a reference when doing the damage calcs: All of them have 31...

Bug Reports v2.0 (READ OP BEFORE POSTING!!)

Hi! I found a glitch with the King's Shield vs Z-Moves that make contact mechanic: King's shield doesn't drop the Attack at all when a Pokémon uses a Z-Move that makes contact into a King's Shield Pokemon Showdown replay (Turn 1): https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7vgc2018-694506788 To show...

Resource VGC: Ask a Simple Question, Get a Simple Answer

First of all I'm assuming your first 3 moves are Will-o-wisp, tailwind and shadow ball. In my opinion, Disable is way too situational, and most of the time Protect + Tailwind then double target the threat is better than protect + disable. Destiny bond is great because in a best of 3 it creates...
