  • Hey, I have sort of a favor to ask... when I was a Wi-Fier, you used to be really great helping n00bs get the Pokémon they needed. Now, I kind of need that Bold Mesprit you have. :x I'm getting pretty damn good at the Battle Frontier, and I need it for a team I'm testing. Would you mind giving me the UT version? I can give you a nice surprise you may not have.

    Ah, so you are saying that I should start my game, stand in front of the day care man (without taking the egg), wait until I hit a point I can trust the NPC's aren't going to move, and then save again.

    After that, using the same seed I was using, make sure I am hitting my seconds and delay again, and then go catch a wild Poke to see what frame I am starting on then, and hope it's an odd start frame, so I can do the correct number of journal flips (my target frame for this seed is 41).

    I'll try it, and let you know what happens.

    Okay, I did that last night, re-saved. Got a different seed. And my start frame for July, 2010 was 5 (again, even after the re-calibration). I got my new seed, and it had a spread on it for frame 41. I had to change my year though to be able to hit my delay. After changing my year though, I have a start frame of 6. >_<


    What should I do now?

    If my starting frame is Odd (Frame 5), but the only realistic frame to hit with my target IVs is an even frame (Frame 82), What should I do? (This is for Platinum IV Egg Breeding)
    I see :) Definetly awaiting Black and White, though how do you plan to play through it? :x Japanese with a bunch of new stuff >.<

    Thanks a lot! Well all I need to do now is choose what spread I would want before I actually RNG the ID/SID for the Soul Silver once I get it.

    It might be. It's starting emloop (once you have your check time calibrated and you're ready to do the actual abusing) at the right moment that I can't seem to get. So basically the goals are:
    1. Get the metronome tapping method sorted out
    2. Hit consistent, DESIRED, spreads
    3. Use a seed verification method like mine, while hitting accurate frames.

    I think once these three things can be accomplished on a regular basis, we might be *done* with this, and we can publish a guide, hopefully in the In-Game section =)

    Hey dude, I took a break from programming tonight and did some Mewtwo catching. I determined that the RNG does still run even while navigating a menu or in a battle with a wild Pokemon. Therefore we can go back to my original method of catching a wild Pokemon to check our seed while the frame advances. It's kind of bittersweet, because it is still effective for high target frames, but not for mid range or low target frames. I reposted the method on page 12 in much better detail.
    Congrats on the Giratina :D I see you're still RNGing xD Can't wait to see what else you'll be getting :)
    With a Base 100 HP and a base 150 positive natured Sp atk I think I can live with -1 points in each :P
