  • I think what you may have to do, then, is reload java onto your computer, that way java will reset your software options and seize control of these files from the ones they don't belong to.

    Also, possibly you can check for java settings somewhere in your computer configuration and see if there's a way to force java to seize control that way.

    Just so you know, I called it a file, and it is an executable jar file, but jar files are really a group of very small files. If you have java properly installed to run any java programs, then it will look like one jar file, but if not, you'll see the group of tiny files. If you do, you might need to right click the group (I'm not sure if I'm making sense, sorry) and then make it so that Java will run the file. When I first got Pikatimer, a music program tried to run it, which of course was a fail, so I had to frig around with the properties and make java take over.
    Does it have the latest java software? Because pikatimer runs on java software. It's not a very large file, only 49 kb. But the java software, if you need will be larger. It has to be loaded onto your computer first.

    On a different note, have you tried RNGing in HGSS? I'm pretty sure it's easier than Platinum.
