    Yeah, you wanna stop advancing once you've seen the Frame before your target's Elm Call / Radio Message / whatever for almost all RNGs. :)

    You want to be ON frame 40 when you walk up to Lance.
    Here's an example with a lower number:
    You want a Latias with Frame 10, and you have NO roamers, so there is no advancement to begin with.

    When you start, you are on Frame 0 (technically). So walking up to Lance will result in a Frame 1 poke if you went straight to him.

    So if you want a Frame 10 poke, and none are skipped, then you would make 9 advances.

    So in your example, you are wanting frame 40, and you are starting on frame 3. This means the first poke you would encounter would be frame 4... So you would make 40 - 4 advances = 36. Before you battled Lance.
    :o That's cool. I do have some idea on how to do it, but not that clear yet. I'm still having troubles. Anyway, the mini-guide you offered sounds sweet. If you were to finish it, I might include my own tips and tricks in it and we could help others out too. :D

    Well, if you start on Frame 3, I assume you have the other two roamers going around (i.e. Both Entei and Raikou are out in the wild).
    In which case you should stop advancing once you HIT frame 39 (so you perform 36 advances using the radio) and then immediately walk forward and defeat Lance.
    If you feel at all like you've lost count / messed up advancing, then just turn off and start again. It's a LONG process for something you think you might've messed up and it'll be better in the long run to start again.
    What are the IVs/Level?

    Oh, in that case...I've never actually used the radio to RNG, so you'll probably want to ask someone else about it...sorry if I'm not that much of a help. If you didn't encounter Latios for the first time, you still have the chance of making Elm/Joey calls.

    Gladly. Well, to be honest, I never really pulled off a decent RNG with Method 1 in the past, since I was still learning around that time (barring Manaphy egg), but all I just did, really, is find my delay, make Elm and Joey calls, and that's pretty much it.
    The irony is that between you having collage and me working that the best time for me to get the pokemon to you for eving is my day off. and the best time for me to get them back is when I work 3rd shift the next day.
