Kaphotics wrote an AR code that lets you check the "iv seed" while in-game. You may need to know how to use the iv seed though... http://www.smogon.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3061918&postcount=350

Lines 1-6 are for pokes in the wild, while lines 8-13 are for bred pokes.

We write down the exact second in which we softreset the game and then look at the first layer of ivs, which can be done with a flashcart too (hint).

I've got only 220 save files for now, I think it's barely enough to get at least one shiny PID out of a good seed. The procedure of savestates creation is frustrating as always, I'm trying to find a way of letting the emulator run by itself but with no luck for now.

My original idea was to record a movie (not an avi, an emulated movie) and do a bit of walkthrough until the moment in which you can save the game, save it while still making the movie and then stop it; after that you need to find a way to automatically rename the save file you've just created and load the movie file on loop.
The main problem is that desmume will fix the reset date to 2009/1/1 00:00 when you load a movie file so you'll always get the same id/sid combo.

Hi, I didn't stop, I've got two eggs ready to be traded and hatched shiny in one of my save files. On top of that, Alex and I have found a seed with this first "layer" of ivs -> 29/20/31/17/31/31 so we'll just need to find a good frame.

Besides the fact that I prefer its shiny sprite I'll have to breed one of my own anyway since I'd like to give it to a friend of mine ;)

Well, it depends really. My thread partner already bred one of those for me but I do not have trade rights on it. So I definitely won't be putting it in my thread if I do it for you. Since I wouldn't be getting any trades from it I'd ask 3 credits for the project, and you could have trade rights and you'd be the only one trading it. I'm guessing you wanted that to be a male right?

Walking 128 steps = 1*party advancements
Dragging a mon from your PC into your party = 7 advancements (you can repeat this as much and any way you want, but it only counts when you drop them IN your party, not out).

IIRC Kaphotics said this works for "base egg IVs" too. You can save inside the daycare, hit an easy seed, then advance to wherever you need to either get better IVs, or move 31s around to wherever you want them.

I'm going to be weeding through about 100,000+ frames this weekend on 30+ consistent seeds that I've cataloged. I'm sure somewhere within 100,000 frames there will be 31 / 31 / 31 / X / 31 / 31 (or something like that) right in a row. If you roll the dice enough, eventually you'll get the IVs you want.

Currently, what I do is:
1) input the MTIVRNG into Researcher
2) set the Frames to 1-3500 (3500=500 Box/Party Drag & Drops which isn't terrible)
3) output the Results to CSV (Excell)
4) delete the unnecessary columns
5) Ctrl+F to Replace all "31s" with Bolded, Underlined, Highlighted "31s" so I can see them better
6) Scroll really quickly down the page till I see a 31, then look at the 5 cells above it

If it's any good, I write its location down. If not, I scroll on.
