  • With a target delay of 649, ( I found a seed with my SID) should my calibrated delay say 14 or 15?

    Ahh. That sorta makes sense. I'm gonna figure out if the SID messes with the stuff I want before I try. Houndour took alot more tries than it should have, and when I asked about the SID thing in the Help thread there was controversy.
    Okay another thing would be that I'm not going for a shiny egg, so I put 0 in for SID on HGSS, would that mess it up? My calibration and target second is 15, calibrated delay 499, target delay 611, seed 3610026E.
    Okay, so its been a while, and I had a question. :3 I'm RNGing some again, and I'm not sure why but I'm getting nothing close to my delay. I put the delat +-10 so that I wouldn't get confused, and I'm pretty sure I'm hitting close to the beeps. What are the possible reasons for this happening? Thanks :D

    And I was thinking some sort of speed-up mode timer. The user could input the average speed-up percentage for their emulator, and this would give them a rough estimate of how long to wait for their frame.

    Yeah, the emulator ended up working. I had to shut down everything but the emulator, and the two RNG programs. Again, thanks for the help!
    Do you think the delay being off is just a matter of my computer's speed? It's a Macbook running Windows 7 32-bit.

    Nope. When there is too much strain on the server, sometimes it goes down for a bit. It displays that page to everyone, not just you. It used to happen once in a blue moon, but now it seems to happen more often. Sorry. :[
    My delay keeps swapping back and forth between odd and even, and it's very inconsistent. Any way to change that?
    I've been checking my seed by making a savestate, getting the starter, and putting its IVs into the Seed Finder. If there's an easier way, please let me know.

    Oh, make sure it's a low frame or you're using an emulator, haha.
    I write adult fiction and don't discuss it on gaming forums other than to let people know that's my reason for disappearing. :-) I'm very careful to keep the gaming separated from work.

    I was never able to get save states working on my M3 DS. I may have to resort to an emulation program on the computer for starters that don't have low frames.

    I'm going back to work, so I hope you'll forgive me for disappearing a while longer. :-)
    I'm still lurking about, but I've gone back to my writing. I took a very long break from it for various reasons, but once a writer gets on a roll, it's a very bad idea to interrupt the roll, so I've avoided picking up the DS for a while.

    Did you use save states to get the perfect starters?
    So far I'm loving your timer. I'm used to making my savestates way ahead of the time I'm supposed to. Sometimes this would even put me ahead of the frame I'm supposed to be at. When I used your timer I was so used to doing that, that I just went ahead and made the save-state a good half a second earlier like I usually do. However, when I check the frame of the savestate it actually reflected that. I then used your timer to correct the frame, and I got two frames behind my target frame.

    In short: your timer rocks.

    Great thanks alot Toast :) it worked ^^. Also cool program, Im currently trying to learn RNG abuse and have been trying to learn your timer program. Thanks for that aswell.
