Does anyone know if they mentioned anything about the starters, or even anything else about the game? Both Serebii and Pokebeach don't have anything other than the pictures. PokeBeach has a video, but my computer freezes up/slows down when I try to watch it...

I assume they just revealed the silhouettes and then the details will be in CoroCoro.

6 Days before we get the real images (7 if CoroCoro doesn't have them and we have to wait till Pokemon Sunday airs again)....I can't wait. lol

That's what I assumed, but know I am curious and want to make sure I didn't miss anything.

I saw that fan art on Google images, and am pretty sure that wasn't posted before hand.....I also saw the same thing for the supposed grass starter on Google images earlier today....I am very Cynical of Google images after I had to almost completely wipe my computer clean from a bug that found it's through google images.... .It probably had a fake date on the image.

We could see the actual images by Monday if the scans are leaked (they usually are).

The middle one seems most inspired by a bunny.
The rabbit is able to pull its ears real close on the top of its head so they appear to originate at the same place.
They are also frequently drawn with exaggerated bushy tails.
This one is at the end of a coil for some reason.

it's clearly a pig with silly ears.

What's everyone think about the typing of the silhouettes? I think they'll be grass-fire-water, from left to right. I mean, it would make sense to put them in order of their Pokedex entries, but who knows...

I think that the far right looks like it's water, definitely. The other two, could be grass or fire, imo.

I think it's Fire- Water- Grass. The fire one's head is really oddly shaped, it either has a beak or an onion-like Celebi head. The rightone kind of likes like a beaver or woodchuck. And the middle one is obviously a pig.

So I was in the middle of making fan art for the far-left starter... then I realized something. Here's the starter, and what I saw in it.

EDIT: I see that Random Pizzaman thought the exact same thing as me in the above post xD

Now that I look at it, it does look like it's pointing to the left since the right arm looks like it's in the back and left arm looks like it connects to the front.

To everyone arguing about whether the middle one is a pig or a bunny; this is Pokemon. Pokemon rarely have characteristics from just one animal, it could very easily be a pigbunny.

YOU'VE SEEN IT. YOU CAN'T UN-SEEN IT. >:U

Awww...it's lil' baby Ho-Oh and his friend Kermit!

Seriously though, nice job. You took a completely different perspective (for 2 of them, at least) and managed to make it work. But I kinda doubt that Gamefreak would go to this length just to trick us. Then again, maybe they really didn't expect us to see them the way we did. Can't wait for CoroCoro!

Edit: Meh, I might as well add to the fun with my own predictions.

Left: In my opinion, you guys are looking at this one all wrong. I don't think the growth on its head is a beak or a Celebii-ish cranium. I think it's sticking straight out from the side of his head, and his face is turned directly toward you. It's shape reminds me of a thorn, so I'm going to take a leap here and say it's the grass type starter. Sure, we have the Roselia and Cacnea lines, but we've never had a Pokemon based on plain ol' pricker bushes, so I think it's fresh territory. Symmetry be damned! I cite Torterra as precedent!

Top: Fire pig. Fire bunny. Fire pigbunny. Either way, this one's pretty cut and dry for me.

Right: Water-typed beaver. Seeing this thing, I was instantly reminded of the dynamic between the Wooper line and the Mudkip line. In GSC, Wooper was a Pokemon with a unique type combination that was available early on in the game. People thought he and his big brother were cool (come on, who doesn't love Quagsire's smile?) but they just weren't powerful enough to be very useful. So, in the next generation, Gamefreak made Mudkip, Marshtomp, and Swampert to make up for the missed opportunity.

Bibarel reminds me a lot of Quagsire. In Fourth gen, he was a new type with a prevo available very early in the game. He's cute and interesting, but he doesn't have the power to be a staple. So, simply put, I think Gamefreak is going to reboot his concept and try again. Just a theory.
