YOU'VE SEEN IT. YOU CAN'T UN-SEEN IT. >:U
Awww...it's lil' baby Ho-Oh and his friend Kermit!
Seriously though, nice job. You took a completely different perspective (for 2 of them, at least) and managed to make it work. But I kinda doubt that Gamefreak would go to this length just to trick us. Then again, maybe they really didn't expect us to see them the way we did. Can't wait for CoroCoro!
Edit: Meh, I might as well add to the fun with my own predictions.
Left: In my opinion, you guys are looking at this one all wrong. I don't think the growth on its head is a beak or a Celebii-ish cranium. I think it's sticking straight out from the side of his head, and his face is turned directly toward you. It's shape reminds me of a thorn, so I'm going to take a leap here and say it's the grass type starter. Sure, we have the Roselia and Cacnea lines, but we've never had a Pokemon based on plain ol' pricker bushes, so I think it's fresh territory. Symmetry be damned! I cite Torterra as precedent!
Top: Fire pig. Fire bunny. Fire pigbunny. Either way, this one's pretty cut and dry for me.
Right: Water-typed beaver. Seeing this thing, I was instantly reminded of the dynamic between the Wooper line and the Mudkip line. In GSC, Wooper was a Pokemon with a unique type combination that was available early on in the game. People thought he and his big brother were cool (come on, who doesn't love Quagsire's smile?) but they just weren't powerful enough to be very useful. So, in the next generation, Gamefreak made Mudkip, Marshtomp, and Swampert to make up for the missed opportunity.
Bibarel reminds me a lot of Quagsire. In Fourth gen, he was a new type with a prevo available very early in the game. He's cute and interesting, but he doesn't have the power to be a staple. So, simply put, I think Gamefreak is going to reboot his concept and try again. Just a theory.
