I must admit that I was more than a little disappointed at the snubs of BSG, FNL, and The Wire, but I was shocked at the lack of Lost Best Drama nominations. Oh well, at least it got Best Writing and Best Directing. Post your thoughts!

Lost isn't up for Best Drama because it sucked too much towards the beginning of the season. I don't watch comedies anymore so I won't comment on those, but the lists for the dramas are completely annoying me with their refusal to stop kissing the asses of a select few shows. The only results I give a damn about are:

DRAMA SERIES
Heroes
SUPPORTING ACTOR IN A DRAMA SERIES
Masi Oka, Heroes
GUEST ACTOR IN A DRAMA SERIES
John Goodman, Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip
(if you haven't seen "Nevada Day Pt 1 & 2" you are doing yourself a great disservice)
GUEST ACTOR IN A COMEDY SERIES
Giovanni Ribisi, My Name Is Earl
REALITY COMPETITION PROGRAM
The Amazing Race
(because the rest should burn in TV hell)
[/quote]

The only shows I even watch out of all those are Heroes and My Name is Earl so it's kind of moot for me to care about any other category they're not in. =[

DRAMA SERIES
-Rooting for House; should be Heroes
ACTOR IN A DRAMA SERIES
-Rooting for Laurie; probably Kiefer or Gandolfini
ACTRESS IN A DRAMA SERIES
-No idea, but I LOVE Mini Driver
SUPPORTING ACTOR IN A DRAMA SERIES
-William Shatner? Haha. I don't really care.
SUPPORTING ACTRESS IN A DRAMA SERIES
-Chandra Wilson, Grey's Anatomy (ugh I hate this show)
GUEST ACTOR IN A DRAMA SERIES
-Forest Whitaker, ER
GUEST ACTRESS IN A DRAMA SERIES
-Marcia Gay Harden, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit
COMEDY SERIES
-The Office
ACTOR IN A COMEDY SERIES
-Steve Carell, The Office
ACTRESS IN A COMEDY SERIES
America Ferrera, Ugly Betty
SUPPORTING ACTOR IN A COMEDY SERIES
Rainn Wilson, The Office (I think it will be NPH, but I love Dwight)
SUPPORTING ACTRESS IN A COMEDY SERIES
Jaime Pressly, My Name Is Earl
GUEST ACTOR IN A COMEDY SERIES
Beau Bridges, My Name Is Earl
GUEST ACTRESS IN A COMEDY SERIES
Elaine Stritch, 30 Rock

The lack of LOST disturbs me.

The problem is that the majority of American TV watchers want to watch the same old crap over and over. It’s the same people that complain that the mysteries aren’t answered in one show. That’s why evening dramas are basically soap operas. I mean isn’t Grey’s an ER rip off which is a General Hospital rip off, etc.? Lost is too involved for most people, so even though they watch it in passing, they don’t watch enough or in depth enough to see/think it’s worthy of awards.

Made for TV crap is crap.

Anybody having anything to do with House should win the fucking category. I mean that show is like watching two girls have sex except it's not actually two girls having sex. That didn't make sense but YOU GET THE POINT.

To a more mature point, yeah, I definitely think that Hugh Laurie deserves AiDS (lol thats a funny fucking acronym), and House deserves DS.

lost honestly is not a good show.

also grey's anatomy is more a ripoff of scrubs if you ask me.

Here's what I think:

House

ACTOR IN A DRAMA SERIES
Hugh Laurie, House

(William Shatner, Boston Legal (never seen))

SUPPORTING ACTRESS IN A DRAMA SERIES
(Rachel Griffiths, Brothers & Sisters (never seen))
Sandra Oh, Grey's Anatomy (as much as I hate the show)

GUEST ACTOR IN A DRAMA SERIES
(Christian Clemenson, Boston Legal (never seen))

REALITY COMPETITION PROGRAM
fuck this category

VARIETY, MUSIC, OR COMEDY SERIES
The Colbert Report
The Daily Show With Jon Stewart

They're really both the same to me.

VARIETY, MUSIC, OR COMEDY SPECIAL
Lewis Black: Red, White & Screwed

Dunno anything about miniseries. My picks are underlined. Personally, I don't think Lost should be up for any sort of nomination. This season was really just...ugh (the finale and last 1 or 2 eps leading up to it were ok). Another personal favorite of mine, 24, really bombed (imo) this season. The Riches also should have been nominated for more stuff. It's a quality show.

Also, if Hugh Laurie doesn't win Oustanding Actor then this ceremony is a sham.

The fact is, if you spend 6 fucking seasons just to get them off the island, people will get annoyed. Look at prison break, first season, they were out. Thats how it should be, take a couple of seasons to get them out and then develop the storyline further.

Yeah but with PB.. Why the hell did they make a second season?

Setting arbitrary timelines for your storylines is the sort of retarded crap that makes me hate tv..

Sopranos should sweep. It is so far ahead of every other show mentioned it is just ridiculous.

Also Heroes probably shouldnt win anything..

Have a nice day.

Actually, they are off the island. At least, Jack and Kate are...

Ummm...It's only been 3 seasons, and maybe you should actually watch the show before spouting off dumbass comments.

Thanks, but the last time I read, they were planning 6 seasons. It might have gone down to 5 or something, but its still hell long for just getting them off the island. And I watched the first couple of seasons but ended up getting tired of it and losing interest. Thanks for the great comment though, pretty cool.

Edit: Oh wait, guess I was right :-

HOW MANY SEASONS WILL LOST HAVE? Lost will run for a total of six seasons. Seasons one to three had 23 episodes, (although the finales were double-length). Seasons 4 - 6 will each run for sixteen episodes.HIDDEN DVD

Also Hip, I actually enjoyed the second season of PB. If they just broke out and left it there, there would be a lot of stuff unanswered. Also Season 3 is going to be awesome from what I hear its about.

Obviously I was right about the show being a little too involved for most people. Guess that's why you lost interest.

"them getting off the island" is not the only thing the show is about.

The producers of the show have also said that the major mysteries of the show will all be answered by the end of the series.

Go whatever categories things to do with Heroes is in!

House is a Drama? I guess TV shows are divided into only two categories, Drama and Comedy. Heroes is clearly Action/Adventure maybe a little Sci-Fi and House is clearly Mystery otherwise.

Its not about being too involved, you don't really see as much progress as you would hope. This is more because of the fact that they have like 20 main characters while other shows only deal with 5-7 main ones. That basically makes it take that much longer for the story to move on with all the backstories and all that going on. It isn't only me, the last season had the lowest audience it has ever had in the premiere iirc.

My picks.

it doesn't matter, since scofield was arrested on the end of the second season, he's in sona now, and the escape was prepared just before lincoln's death row sentence was executed, i personally think the escaping cons died too soon, i.e. abruzzi, tweener

anyway:
