Fellaini is such a freaking beast. When he's receiving a pass no one can get near him, he holds them all off as if he can't feel a thing. He's a big man up front and he's a rock in defence, best defensive mid in the league?

Messi has been the top scorer in the champions league 3-4 seasons in a row, Ronaldo has come nowhere close despite generally facing worse teams every year.

He is a lot younger then Ronaldo and was constantly injured for his first few years at Barcelona, so has had a lot less time to develop then Ronaldo.

He is a big game player unlike Ronaldo who comes up with a goal and then is invisible for 80 minutes, he has played two really good teams this season Bayern and Barcelona he did barely anything. Messi was good against United three years ago and the best player on the pitch in last years Champions league final, best player on the pitch against Milan at least 2 times just this season.

I find it hard to believe that a player who has at times single handed outplayed Madrid,Milan, and the best team in said premier league wouldn't do the exact same thing to the likes of stoke.

The Xavi/Iniesta excuse isn't even valid anymore as this is his best season and both those players have been either injured a lot, or just not very good(Xavi) and have not played together that much.

He also makes more assists and is surrounded by a much worse team over the season, much better scoring record considering the amount of penalties Madrid get.

Amazing finish in the Everton game, still too little time for City.

Crazy game at Old Trafford. I'm very disappointed with the result, obviously. In hindsight we should have subbed off Welbeck for Jones or Giggs to make the midfield stronger. However, to be fair, if Evra scores instead of hitting the post it would have been game over.

Everton played well though, and all the goals were of very high quality today. Brilliant match, but we've let City in again now. If they win today (which they will), we really can't afford to lose the derby.

Xavi is the beating heart of Barcelona and is the one who provides the rich climate from which Messi can score and play about. It's sickening really that this dude doesn't even get half the credit or awards he deserves simply because people have resorted to lazy cheerleading and can't put themselves into celebrating more than one player.

they will will they? wolves NEED a win, nothing else will do, they have to.
and there is still the newcastle away trip for them, where cisse will turn them over

i like how, rather than having faith in your own team, you're hedging your bets on other teams doing you favors.

win all your remaining games and you're champions. if city win all theirs, they're champions. really simple - it's in your hands.

ps. wolves are gonna concede at least 4 today.

City to put a dozen past Wolves and the same in the Derby.GG United.

Yay looks like Drogba's gonna be fit for the second leg.I'm gonna go for a scoring draw.
Damn i've lost track of these fixtures.....Can't believe i missed the thriller at OT.......would've preferred a Toffee win but a draw's cool too i guess.

wolves going down :( sad but deserved, they are almost definitely the weakest team in the league this year imo. look forward to having them come to the amex next season though!

also everton too strong, even with the required 5 minutes added on man u couldn't pull out the win.

It's so unfair that Liverpool didn't let Blackburn win. They have pretty much single-handedly screwed over Blackburn in the relegation race.

This.

They whore out points to the rest of the relegation battlers but not Blackburn? It's very likely going to prove the difference :[ Too bad, I've always had a soft spot for them, though I can't imagine why.

I wouldn't worry, the way liverpool are going, next season they will be a relegation battler.
as for the derby, fergie still has the tactical upper hand in how he can plan the match out, city need to win.
Fergie can either
A. park the bus
B. park the bus and play counter attack
C. attack

'Liverpool need to get real and realise they're just a top 8 club' - Robbie Savage

that made me smile ^_^

Player of the year RVP, good job son, now sign the damn contract.

But how did Walker get Young Player over Aguero.....

Perhaps a prerequisite that one of the winners must be English?

well done phalanx you can count how many teams are in the league

We need a finisher pretty much, or a campaign to have the goalposts widened...
i'm missing the days when we had without doubt the best midfield in the league with masch/alonso/gerrard &co

Cheer up lad, we used to have the best defence in the league until Wenger decided to sell them all and bring Djourou and Almunia through. He clearly felt he needed more of a challenge.
