Arsenal's idea of defending allow United to cut in on the left side for 25 minutes and still not move a single defender over until they score.

well that tactic is working for them then.
how it took so long for united to score i dunno. more sloppy defending please and more clinical finishing. need more goals.

Arshavin is so unbelievably bad it boggles the mind...

Wenger is living in fairyland. In his perfect little world, young players should be gradually allowed into the fold and never be subjected to any amount of pressure. Even when Chamberlain is so clearly the best player on the pitch for Arsenal, he still must be substituted and replaced by Arshavin. In his perfect world, Arshavin is a nice guy and will repay his faith by becoming a great player again. Honestly Wenger needs to wake up to the real world...

edit: I can't contain my rage I just have to rant more: Chamberlain was skinning everyone and was the biggest threat for Arsenal by far. WTF WENGER!!!! Why do you play Djourou??? Why do you still play Walcott??? If Walcott was at any other top 4 club he'd have been dropped years ago and a proper replacement found. But in Wenger's perfect little world Walcott will turn into a beautiful swan one day and everyone will be happy!

Wait why am I getting so mad? We're definitely out of the title race even if we beat all the top 3 in thegames we're gonna play vs them. This means we gain a bigger lead for CL spots. Not to mention Spurs' loss gives a realestic chance o leapfrog them into 3rd.

Arshavin......gtfo. Now. I mean it.

Wenger keeps saying how buying a player would kill so and so's career, well he's jsut about doing that now to Chamberlain by playing Arshavin.

And 6 months after his purchase Park finally makes his Prem debut. I still think we signed him jsut to sell some shirts in Korea.

I may have said this before but these last few weeks has added so much more evidence that Wenger simply cannot ignore.

Arshavin has no future at Arsenal. He's a great player I'm sure and by looking at him you can tell he has the right ideas and gets into the right positions but it just seems like his feet aren't listening to him. His weight of passing is all wrong, his shots are going into the stands, he tries to take ppl on but he just messes up his final touch and ends up bumping into them or losing possession. He's a good player but he has absolutely zero confidence, and Arsenal (if we want to stay in the CL) is not a club that can afford to slowly bring his confidence back. Every game is a must win and has massive pressure, Arshavin needs a different atmosphere to rediscover his touch and Arsenal is not the right place for him. I admire Wenger for giving ppl a chance and having faith in them but this has gone way too far.

Walcott on the other hand isn't even trying to do the right things. He hasn't got a clue what to do when he gets the ball. He always looks surprised that someone is passing to him and unless he has massive space to run into, he just dillydallies too long and ends up losing it or being muscled off the ball. He is not a right winger, he would be a lethal goal poacher if he was played through the middle cos he has pace. But that's all he has. Wenger needs to find a proper right winger with skills, control, vision and a decent cross and shot (qualities Walcott knows nothing of) and either play Walcott as a striker/poacher or sell him.

The defence is the other area that needs sprucing up because Djourou is just not good enough. I'm sure he's a nice guy and tries hard and all but you've got to drop him when he is missing tackles by a mile and has no positional awareness. Why does Wenger keep defending players like this and putting his faith in them saying they just need confidence and support.

Arsenal's problems aren't that hard to solve! Even sticking to Wenger's tight budget and just looking for players that are actually available (ie not bidding 40mil to prise a player away from a club). For Arshavin and Walcott's position there is Hoilett who has said he wants to leave. Djourou could be replaced with Samba who also said he wants to move. They are twice the player they are replacing and would make Arsenal so much more solid as a team. It's not easy to find good players that are available for a small price, even less so in areas where you actually need to strengthen. Wenger didn't get Parker or Samba in the summer for I don't know why. And now Hoilett and Samba are staring him in the face again as cheap quality options that are better than Arshavin and Djourou. What is wrong with Wenger???

I IS MAD!

honestly what the fuck was balotelli even still doing on the pitch??

i'm sorry but this is totally unequivocally disgraceful

he wont be on the pitch for a few games if the FA have any common sence.
to make it worse he does a comedy fall to hide his action.
just watched the highlights.. lescotts elbow looked deliberate as well.

Okay.
@ The City Game: Balotelli deserved to be off, Blln's gif shows it.

@The Man U Arsenal Game:

Here is my player by player analysis of the Man Utd Squad:
34 Lindegaard- Kept decently, made no ridiculous errors, could have maybe stopped Van Persie's goal if he was positioned a bit better, but not blaming him.
03 Evra- Made some great runs down the flank and provided solid support for Nani along the wing, could have done better running back for defense more often.
04 Jones - Played solidly in the beginning, and the injury really sucks ass, he was our only consistent defender, and now he seems to be out.
06 Evans - No complaints from him, defended well.
12 Smalling - Played pretty decently, but should have marked the strikers better.
11 Giggs - Played smartly, he did everything he should have, though when Scholes did come on, and Nani was taken off, Giggs took the wing and wasn't able to do much, which I was a bit dissapointed about because he could've used Rooney in the center and gotten some balls in.
16 Carrick - Solid game. Needs more confidence in his game though
17 Nani - Played well, but he got too ambitious on atleast 3 separate occasions, which I was a little bummed out about. But then again, that's Nani for you.
25 Valencia [Man of the Match] - According to me he was the man of the match. Had an amazing game. What I loved the most about him was that during the second goal, just before passing to Welbeck, he could've easily tried shooting himself, he had room for a shot with his left foot, if Rooney, Welbeck or Nani were in that position, they would've shot, but that pass to Welbeck was genius. What sucks is that he doesn't carry the flair that Nani carries and thus struggles in whipping the ball in.
10 Rooney - Average Game
19 Welbeck - Average Game, though he scored a goal, he didn't perform particularly well and messed up two occasions where he could've easily scored, especially that last minute opportunity.
21 Rafael - Couldn't really manage as well as he should have and that run that he made towards the 90th minute really bummed us out because we almost conceeded.
13 Park Ji-sung - Barely made a difference, or got the ball
22 Scholes - Barely played.

I'm still pissed at the City game. Fuck Ballotelli, ruining our outside chance. Fucking Italian, go and sink your yacht or something.

i love you balotelli <3 you are a brilliant player and entertainer and you never seem to fail at playing like a sunday league player against liverpool

The FA has charged Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli with violent conduct after he appeared to stamp on Scott Parker, during their home game against Tottenham Hotspur. He now has until 6pm on Wednesday 25 January 2012 to respond to the charge.

If he accepts his charge, Balotelli will miss Wednesday's Carling Cup semi-final second leg against Liverpool at Anfield.

However, should the Italian international decide to appeal he will be available for that tie, with a hearing likely to take place later this week.

The normal punishment for violent conduct is a three-match suspension but Balotelli was sent-off in the league match at Liverpool in November and would incur an additional one-game ban.

i'm really not sure it was deliberate, you know.. i thought it was an accident at the time, repeated viewing in slomo make it look like a stamp and a dive, but i'm by no means certain

I still don't get how anyone calls it deliberate, he is clearly off balance and trying to find his footing. The only reason this hasn't been thrown out is because its Balotelli. If he gets banned its a joke.

Lescott's elbow however 100% deliberate.
