Unless he pulls off a miracle against Napoli AVB will probably be gone the day after, at best he may be spared till Manchester City put half a dozen goals past Chelsea later that same week.
 
from that angle that's one of the best saves i've ever seen. the initial safe is good in itself because it wasn't a bad penalty by any means but the way he recovers and regains his balance and then uses the momentum to get across the goal is just amazing.

I really have no idea how Szczesny was able to back pedal after the initial save and throw himself across the goal like that, it was quite an unbelievable save.
 
Apparently the club has already contacted Benitez.Dunno if AVB's gonna be sacked before the CL game orr after.

AVB sacked...

I expect he'll do well at his next club. Good future ahead of him and he proved his worth at Porto. Shame he inherited such a squad of individuals though...
 
LOL i just thought i'd take a nap after i read phalanx's post about the average PL age....i feel really weird hearing about this.I just hope it's not just a change in personnel but in problems as well(when we land someone else,that is).Sadly, enough Di matteo won't be able to guarantee us CL next season without some bad luck in the gunners camp.
 
Im hearing that the benitez deal fell through because he wanted a 2 year deal and Abramovich only wanted to first give him a deal until the end of the season before commiting to him.

now apparantly he wants Guardiola.

also lol im pretty sure everyone saw this coming, not much of a shock. Heres to mourinho hopefully not rejoining chelsea, the mans way too good
 
Ouch... really sad. I liked AVB. He had class. Aside from jose, he was my favourite chelsea manager. Its really dumb how Chelsea functions, but nonetheless, they're out of the title race, pretty much out of anything, I doubt they can recover now... Good luck to them.
 
The plan was to sign Guardiola in the summer after Benitez had taken over for the rest of the season.
 
Hey i was just replying to sharkz' post.He doesn't want Guardiola only because Benitez refused.I'm obviously not implying it's actually gonna happen.A man can dream though.......

Anyways, this is where the fight really starts. Bolton are doing a special offer. You can go to both the home games against QPR and Blackburn for the price of 1! I'll be at both of them. QPR, 12:45pm, next Saturday, then the cup QF game at either Spurs/Stevenage. Then at Villa in midweek, followed by Blackburn on the 24th at 3:00pm.

Also I would laugh if Capello got appointed! Personally I think Chelsea should go with a real manager who can shut those overpaid prima donas up: Mick McCarthy!
