It wouldn't surprise me that if Manchester City don't win the League (I do really fancy United to hold on now) that Mancini is sacked and they try to bring in Mourinho who will bring Ronaldo with him. I'd love to see Ronaldo back at Manchester Untied though, with Berbatov going and Owen always injured, it'd be nice to have a fourth striker in there. It'd mean Welbeck and Hernandez get less playing time, perhaps even Nani, Young, and Valencia playing less at times, but it'd be worth it and I'm sure Sir Alex could juggle all of that talent and keep them happy. Wishful thinking of course, but seeing Ronaldo in a Manchester City shirt would hurt. It's also hard to see where he'd play, but I always get the feeling that Dzeko and Balotelli, despite their obvious quality, are stepping stone players for Manchester City. As soon as they can sign better players, they'll be the ones to feature less (eg. Auguero is a better player and has made more appearances than either).
As for the Premier League this season, as I said I think United will hold on now. But I'll talk about this more in two weeks when City have played Arsenal. Hopefully they slip up at Stoke and United don't mess up the Blackburn game, we'll see. I think the Fulham game was both a good performance, but a frustrating one. In previous weeks we haven't struggled for goals despite not really dominating games. But we dominated Fulham and only found the one goal. I think if Scholes and Hernández started we'd have scored at least one more and been comfortable so I expect them both to start on Monday.
Champions League, I fully expected Real Madrid and Bayern Munich to do what the did. Chelsea was a bit of a surprise given their recent away form in Europe, but their defensive play has improved as of late and despite not firing on all fronts for ages, they always have a goal in them with the attacking options they have. I think all three of those teams have done enough to progress. This may be a surprising comment, but the team I feel are most in danger of not progressing in regards to the current 'favourites' are Barcelona. I really fancy AC Milan to get a score draw in Spain and knock them out. But we'll see about that..
Not going to happen. Ronaldo hasn't won all he can at Madrid, he was an ex-united fan, and I doubt he would switch to city. He's won all he can in the premier league, why would he want to go back? Plus City has a studded squad, he would really have to fight his position on the lineup, which he doesn't have to at Madrid.
Just saw this post. I genuinely think that Real Madrid will win La Liga and the Champions League, meaning Ronaldo has basically won all he can with Madrid already. If this happens, it wouldn't surprise me if Ronaldo felt like he'd achieved his goals in Spain and wanted another test. Not saying it will happen by any means and I don't expect it to, but I can easily see a reason why. There's always the money, too. I'm sure Man City would pay him whatever sum he wanted and give Real Madrid more than the £80million they paid for him from the off..
