^IKR I was like 'FUCK TORRES' after Sturridge scored that first goal and it's like he read my post and responded with that performance!

Oh and i almost forgot.....BEWARE OF THE IMPENDING DANGER NEWCASTLE! (for those Newcastle fans and hopefuls that saw QPR get thrashed)YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Man Abramovich looked like a 9 year old who saw a magician pluck a rabbit out of his hat when Torres scored those two goals. And then there was this look on his face(a combination of great relief and pride) when he slid in the third because he alone knows how much criticism he has received for splashing 50 mil on Torres and for once,he actually looked like he was worth all that money.I really hope he has actually rediscovered his form and that this is not a false alarm(like the double vs Leicester followed by that poor performance).

nah, total confidence that we'll at least get a point on wednesday. you'll have one eye on the cup final which is like 70~ hours later and with the spirit we've got in this squad we'll be itching to pick ourselves back up after yesterday.

Come on Blackburn pull level while you can.........and then defend like hell and score late on :)

Blackburn were truly dire. I just, don't know what Kean was playing at. I was obviously happy with the Spurs performance, but I just don't get why, when you're threatened with relegation you don't go shit or bust, instead of putting 11 behind the ball. It really made us look more dominant. They barely made an effort to get it to Yak and Hoillet. At least if you try, you might get a goal, then it's game on.

If he doesnt want to stay in the Prem, he should have just said.

yeah, i'm willing to give him a go. we've tried appointing supposedly world class managers who have proven themselves at the highest level (Sven, Capello) and that didn't work at all, so lets try a bit of grit. Hodgson has made a career out of working wonders with limited resources and he has that 'down-to-earth' quality that could be just what our team of under-performing primadonnas need. i'm also willing to bet he'll be a lot cheaper than capello so if it doesn't work out then we won't be held over a barrel when it comes to letting him go.

people will recite his failings at Liverpool but given that 'king kenny' is waling down that exact same path we can just write that off with the justification that that club is rotten to the core anyway.

At least he's got some international experience, throwing Redknapp into the deep end would most likely end in a disatrous Euro 2012, unless he really is gods gift to management as some portions of the media would have you believe...

I think Hodgson was treated unfairly at Liverpool, and the current situation at the club just shows what a farce it was.

I agree, he didn't really receive that much attention worldwide for the job (Redknapp and Pardew being more publicly considered), however, I think looking back at the candidates he is probably the best option.

Also, 3400th post!

hahaha no way, uncle Woy? amazing. absolutely pissing myself at all the poor Spurs fans who were waiting to get rid of Harry, hahahahah

It wasn't a waiting to get rid, I know I'd resigned myself to him going though, as that seemed to be who everyone wanted. It's just a shame he's had an eye on the England job, rather than two eyes on the league. Oh well, I can't complain if he stays at Spurs overall.

Personally, I don't think Woy is the right man, because of his media skills. The England manager really needs a thick skin, as they get a lot of shit, the job really is a poison chalice. I'd like to see Hodgson given a chance I guess, and if he proves me wrong, he could be excellent. I'm behind Psycho for the job though, he doesnt mind taking a bit of flak, and might actually bring some change to the team, because of his time with the U21 team.

you're second only to wolves on the form table because your manager is a liability and you can't complain if he stays? lord

Oh yeah, I'm not defending his recent showings, they've been pretty piss poor, and murmurs are that he's lost the dressing room while he's had his mind elsewhere. But, I have to have faith in him, he's been the best we've had in years, has massive fan support and who else could we readily get in to replace him?

Predictions for the Manc Derby? If anyone want's to come forward with a winning bet, I'll love you forever. Also, who do neutrals want to win it? I sincerely hope both teams go for it for a full 90 minutes, may as well make a show of it.

Tevez+Aguero = GG.I predict 2/3-0 and Man C wins the league,we win the champions league and fa cup, everyone's happy :)

More realistic predictions:

City have a good chance to outright win it, I'd say a 50% chance, and this is coming from a United fan. It's not impossible for them to run riot but I'd predict 3-1 as the final score to City simply because of their need to remain defensive for the opening minutes. I would say United for 35% likely to draw (and thus 15% likely to win), partially because Rooney is on fire and because United tend to be bounce back strong at times like these. City will be feeling the pressure again since this is their chance to win and they haven't demonstrated the ability to react well in such cases. I can see something like United going 0-2 down and fighting back to 2-1, causing City to lose their nerve, and then scoring the goal in the 5th minute of extra time ;) for a 2-2 result.

Because of this reasoning I'd still say that United have a higher chance to win the whole thing than City, 50-50 for the derby and United have a small edge in the final two matches thanks to City's Newcastle fixture.

Chelsea will probably win the FA Cup but I can't imagine them beating Bayern at the Allianz. They are unlikely to defend the same way as they did against Barca and that could well be their undoing.

As much as I hate City I decided I hate Utd more so I hope City win. Had enough of Ferguson's smirky grin year after year.

6-2 to City for me. They have a point to prove and the crowd are going to be savage. But if I wasn't so naive I'd probably go for a 2-0 to Utd most likely thanks to Utd parking the double decker, a dubious penalty decision and a few not going the way of City. I really hope it doesn't come down to the referee and the actual best team wins.
