not gonna deny the cuntish side of him but it's a small jab that wouldn't knock out an 80 year old woman

the problem I have is that people keep saying that he is a cunt, which is true but he's not the only one. again, i'm not denying that he will do anything to win, and i mean anything no matter how cuntish is might be, everything he (does) is severly blown out of proportion by the media and non-lfc fans.

at the point you're saying 'everything everyone except liverpool supporters say is wrong' do you not think maybe you're just a bit biased towards him and he actually is just a cunt?

Of course i'm biased because he plays for my team. Btw, i'm the first to say that he is a cunt but the point is that he's our cunt :p. Do you hate ashley williams akuchi? Because we all do except swansea supporters. Similar situation here.

I just hate the fact that when someone else does something terrible, it's barely noticed but when luis does it, it's on the front page. Articles about the incident appeared before the match was even over. Not to mention that i couldn't find any articles about the actual MATCH.

Besides, things like these are normal in serie a and in all stoke city matches when two players tussle. Jara was hugging and digging his nails into suarez's ribs.

um. can other posters bear out this assertion that ashley williams is hated cos i generally thought he was seen as a bit of a standup guy? yunno with all that patronage of that homeless charity in swansea (he did it before rangel) and how he has a wife and kid, welsh captain and doesnt really do much else..?

i mean honestly if he is hated thats fine, but i can think of swansea players that are much bigger arseholes (lita got in some shit a while ago, monk occasionally plays like a proper dirty bastard..)

well for one he always talks shit about others and he always comes across as a confrontational twat (when he kicked the ball at rvp when he was on the ground for example). ashley williams was probably a bad example because he isn't very well known but i wanted to give the example of a swansea player. at least akuchi got my point

also just to clarify, i'm talking about behavior on the pitch. suarez is probably the calmest guy off the field according to his wife. he just loses his head because he wants to win and score so badly. idk about william's life off the field, fair play to him if what you say is true but it's not really the point.

I didnt know he was hated. sorry nos.

i forgive you bro

You guys are completely missing Nos's point. He's only using Ashley Williams as an example, whether he might be a good example or not is besides the point. Funny how you would all ignore what he is saying simply because he mentioned Ashley Williams.

I do agree with Nos how Suarez does get more attention when he does something wrong, but I mean it's to be expected after that handball in the fucking World Cup quarterfinals lol.

lol I don't blame them if they thought it was OK to concede a couple if they were planning on scoring 9!

Haven't watched football in a while, good result for Arsenal today :D
Gervinho had a mixed game, he was unbelievable when he got the ball, so fast, untouchable dribbling, then bam, he enters the box and final ball goes nowhere. Now that may sound like what Gervinho normally does but this time at least he didn't fall over himself and actually got his foot to a few final passes and managed a goal and 2 assists. He also squandered some great chances like normal but his ability on the ball just makes you think how amazing he *could* be if he only could finish. He's gone from 'legit useless' to 'debatable whether he is a burden on the team' for me, and that is a pretty huge step!

Other things to note were Sagna came back and played well and looks back to his solid best. He was really iffy the last few months but he's been one of our best players over the years and I still really like him and hope he stays.
Ramsey has been playing more and more consistently, he still lacks that killer instinct he had before his leg break but he's moving faster now and looks more and more sharp. He was just as exciting to watch as Fabregas and I hope he can get back near that level before his leg break.

Fabianski doesn't look half bad :o but we've seen this before, he looked good 2 seasons ago before imploding mid season. Maybe using him for only half a season is the way to go!

And 2 points off big spending Chelsea woohoo, bet no one expected that at the start of the season :D

I think the problem is less with individuals and more about overall tactics.

Rodgers claims that we play this sort of exotic football when in reality we keep passing it around the back to Reina and Agger and then launch it forward. We're not playing a high line and pressing, which I thought was at the heart of his so called 'philosophy'.

He left out Lucas last week and he today inexplicably left out Sturridge.

^ Yea lati, the difference in quality between the two teams is what won us the match but I want you to look closely at our first goal. It was a fantastic counterattacking move. key word: counterattacking. My main gripe with Brendan Rodgers is that we don't have the players to play tiki taka. We play a fair bit of long balls and we are at our best when we play quick DIRECT passes forward + counterattacks. Instead, we keep passing it around backwards and to the sides dangerously in our own box.

Suarez our main man is not suited to this kind of football. He looses the ball quite a lot. If you are going to play possession, it has to be all over the pitch not just between Reina and the back four.

Gerrard is also struggling. He's pretty lousy at short passing and controlling games. See the long ball he played to Coutinho in the counterattack that led to the first goal. He's much more comfortable playing at a quick tempo instead of the slow build up that we are trying to play.

This is why I wanted Roberto Martinez to be our manager and not Rodgers. I might be biased because I'm a big Wigan fan and I love playing with a back three and wingbacks (3-4-3). We have the players for it. Agger can be given the licence to attack from a LCB role and Johnson and Downing/Enrique are good wingbacks. Carra as a sweeper would be excellent. Most importantly, Suarez would absolutely thrive in this system, as he struggles when up on his own. In this system, the forwards have to be able to drift to the channels which Suarez (and Sturridge btw) excels at. I could go on and on about why this formation suits Liverpool but I don't want to bore the fuck out of you guys.

Nonetheless, as a Liverpool fan, nothing pleases me more than seeing my team winning but it does not mask the problems that we have. We also had nothing to play for, so no pressure. Last week, when top four was starting to be a bit possible, we blew it. When I see my team winning under pressure, I'll be happy.

What happened to Skrtle? He kinda fell off the face of the earth halfway through the season and looks like Rogers won't play him anymore... He was one of the top CBs last season imo and I can never understand when players like this suddenly fall out of favour. Is it a contract dispute?

Probably wasted way too much time than was necessary on this but BBC have a table predictor thing: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/eng_prem/predictor/default.stm

I called the results as I saw them and surprisingly enough have Utd, City, Chelsea and Spurs in the top 4 (despite their tough run in) and Arsenal 5th. Everton finishes 5 pts above Liverpool in 6th and 7th (so basically no change).

It's wierd at the bottom though, I have Aston Villa, QPR, Sunderland and Wigan all safe but within a point or two of the drop. Surprisingly it is Newcastle, Norwich and Reading that go down and Fulham survive on goal difference... Although I did have Sunderland win the Tyne-Wear derby and that might have been a bit rich!

But basically all the teams at the bottom were within 2 pts of each other coming into the last day and whoever won on the last day survives. I defo think there will be a surprise drop or two, there always is!
