Well in fairness City this year have had long-term injuries to Aguero, Silva, Yaya, Kompany and probably some more that I've forgotten; and they sold Balotelli and basically threw money down the drain in the transfer market. They were really unlucky to lose all their best players at the same time, and they've only really come back from injury towards the end of the season. I'd expect City to be much better next year.

Chelsea on the other hand have had Terry injured and that's mostly about it. I think Chelsea could be amazing if they bought a top striker to go with the midfield, but then you could say that about a lot of clubs. So Mourinho will have to get a lot more from the squad than whoever is at City. It might be quite a close contest next season. Of course they might also flop, there's really no guarantees in football so we'll wait and see.

I can't imagine Utd dropping down much, so they'll be challenging. My only hope is that Wenger pulls his finger out and stop trying to troll everyone with Giroud and Gervinho and actually buy a top striker. The team has done unbelievably with basically no good striker (a bit like Chelsea I guess) and if we still had RVP banging in goals every game we might have been much closer to City and Utd... >:(
