Schizophrenic is definitely the word I would use to describe it.
My biggest issue however is with the lyrics. What the fuck happened there?
my favorite track off "channel orange" is probably "CRACK ROCK" just because I end up shouting "crack rock" at random. why are two stupid words so catchy together? goddamnit frank ocean
nostaliga, ultra is looooaaaaads better though, nearly every song on that album is good times, and the beats are much, much more fluid and make me warm and fuzzy inside.
unfortunately i cannot really contribute anything to this thread concerning new tunes, though regina's spektor latest album dropped in like may….? am i late? oops?

over is a really beautiful, eerie, mournful song. even though regina spektor is just vocals and piano most of the time, i think she might be my favorite female artist of all time. there's something so endearing and incredible about an adorable little russian girl who can write such powerful and entrancing tunes, and be so genuine in her expressions of anguish and joy, even within the same album.

I just went to a grizzly bear concert at radio city on Monday, they are amazing. The new album is solid as well, gun-shy is great live.

I'm currently like 6 songs into the new Why? Album, Mumps, etc. And it is fucking great so far.
EDIT: Almost forget about Tame Impala - Lonerism. Great fucking album.

Mumps, etc. is like some magical bottle of wine that ages ten years every second, seriously cannot stop listening (seeing most of it live probably helped!)
Also new Killers and new Green Day are good but not great

New Death Grips, NO LOVE DEEP WEB, just released on their SoundCloud.
Oh man, Death Grips just gave a massive fuck you to their record label. A really solid album from what I've heard so far. I'd say Whammy holds the place for my favourite so far.

Really enjoying the new Muse Album personally. The dubsteppy stuff gets to me but the rest is solid. Panic Station is super cool.
you are late but it sure is a great album. It sure wasn't what i expected but every song on there is amazing in its own right.
I just love how every one of regina spektors songs tell a different story and yet they still manage to fit together to easily.

Screw Spotify, I heard about them on Last.Fm. And they're awesome. Radioactive is my favorite song by them. Sounds so good.
^also this. Regina Spektor is my favorite artist. Her songs are all always full of life and emotion. Favorite one on the album is probably Small Town Moon.

However Everyone Everywhere's new album is probably my album of the year. If any of you are into emo at all (like the good Sunny Day Real Estate kind), be sure to check it out. "Wild Life" is probably my song of the year.
