5th Gen PRNG Help / Info - Latest: RNG Reporter 9.96.5, PPRNG 1.15.0

So there is no way to consistantly encounter a roamer?

What I do is find out what route it's on, fly there, and then keep entering/exiting the route until the storm appears. Then I use a repel and put a pokemon that's lower than 40 but higher than the levels of the wild pokemon, and run around and then the roamer appears. But it has nothing to do with encounter slot (well, maybe but I don't think).

OK,I am Attempting a shiny jolly Cobalion with:
29+/30+/30+/x/30+/30+
(I´m using 3 keypresses)
bwseeds.png

sorry for the bad quality :P

But, what method should i use?, if i use method 5 (standard seed) i don´t hit my target frame, and if i use method 5 pidrng i get the shyniness and right nature, everything is ok
except the iv´s.....

You can use both. Since you're on frame 1 just start from right in front of him and advance however many PID frames you need. Now you have the shiny, nature, and IVs

Does anyone have any tips for nature manipulation of the roamers? I am currently resorting to mear trial and error. Because something (I think it is the NPCs in the house) is messing it up and not allowing consistant results.

Use method 5 (standard seed) to search for a seed in the time finder. Then use method 5 PIDRNG to check PID frames in the main window.

There's is a way to manipulate the PIDRNG for roamers but it's very time consuming. It's probably easier to do it by trial and error if you're not aiming for a shiny. :|

Anyways, here you go.

There are no NPCs inside the house. It's the NPCs outside the house and the rain that are screwing you up.

OHHH! That is why I couldn't find the right results! I didn't know th rain could advance you so much.

@UpsideDownHitmontop
Ok, I must have failed somewhere. The Cobalion I caught was not shiny

SEED: 340263AE3734BEEA
Keypresses: 3
ability:any, nature:any, synch nature:jolly,
synchronize frames only, search for nearby shiny frames

What frame range is the most recommended for searching shiny stationary legends?
I had a frame of 1, nearby shiny at 381, (Those two were found in the time finder)
the PID started at 48.Then i have to do 333 chatters .....Or did I just misunderstand something?

Hey UDH I was wondering if shinyness and nature and evs for landorus are set when it flys in an lands or when you actually battle it?

Frame 1 is always the best for Stationary Pokemon (especially if there are NPCs to advance the frame, like Landorus... I think he's the only one :P).

If your starting frame is 48 then yes, 333 Chatot flips should get you to your frame. If you get the correct IVs but not shiny, check to see what PID frame you did actually hit.

It's a stationary legend, so the IVs, Nature, and Shinyness are set when you battle it. Also, there are NPCs at Abundant Shrine that will advance your PID.

Ok, thanks, just didn't want to make a mistake. Just wanted to double check that it wasn't like the roamers.

Hi all. Does RNG Reporter works for Supercard DS One? I can't find any seed. I tried using OmegaDonut's Action Replay to find VCount and Timer:

but this code works only in japan version :(. Is there an US version?

Thanks for the help!!! :)

Im trying to RNG a flawless shiny emolga in lostlorn forest. Do synchronizers not work in the forest or are my eyes just deceiving me, because I am 100% certain I did everything right..the poke was shiny, and flawless but the synchronizer didn't work....It clearly says in the RNG reporter (under wild pokemon (shaking grass)) that that particular frame was syncable. I would pass this off as my mistake if it was the first time, but it happened before as well with a pansear in the forest. I've been able to RNG with success in every other non-npc area. So what's going on here?

EDIT: Now looking back, I think in lostlorn forest, the shaking grass RNG pattern might be the same as wild pokemon (in other areas) due to me having to advance one more frame than anticipated and the "syncable" frame not syncing. I'm not sure if the smogon people have already realized this!

Thanks

I had the EXACT same problem with Shaking Grass abuse. I found a seed that RNG Reporter claimed was syncable, I did all the right advancements and got my shiny Lilligant, but it was a Relaxed Nature.

The only solution was to find a new seed and hope it's syncable, which is what I did and eventually succeeded :)

I'm not sure when the problem will be fixed, maybe in the next version of RNG Reporter it will be fixed!

You could do that, or you could find a new seed and try Lostlorn Forest again. But are you planning to use the same seed on Route 9? Idk if they sync would work just because you change location. I would try finding a new seed. :P

Good luck.

Yeah ^_^. Route 9 worked for me tho, so I think it's just a forest thing :p

Sorry... What are the values for Supercard DS One? I can't find any seed and the Action Replay to see VCount e Timer is fos jp version :(

Smogon fellows, I've been trying for 3 days now to catch a RNG'd Thundurus, but I am not successful.
I have successfully RNG'd many Pokémon, in Gen III, IV and V, wild and bred, but this one is really a headache now.

I'll try to be very detailed in this post.

RNG Reporter: 9.81
Trying to: Capture Thundurus - Timid - 31/06/30/31/31/31
Target Seed/Frame: 0C07A78AC553A939 / Frame 7
Date and time: November 9, 2011 06:58:08
MAC: 00-1B-EA-60-EF-0C

Here's the situation:

I saved inside the old lady's house, and my only problem is to get the Timid Nature. First, I thought it'd just be a matter of time before I get the proper nature, but it isn't working lol
Then I tried to get my SSF, but I just can't.

I saved my game in the 127th step of my step counter and 2 steps away from the door. I did that to save some time (every time I needed to walk 128 steps using the running shoes). I know it's right because the Thundurus is getting the right IV's.
I know when there's a problem with the Timer0 because his characteristic changes to "Somewhat stubborn".

There's no season change when I leave the lady's house.
Also, when I go back to that route after catching Thundurus, there's no rain. I guess this means there's no rain there in this date, but I'm not sure.

Inside the house I don't care about the time I take to open the menu and leave the house, since I guess there are no PIDRNG advances when I am inside. And when I leave the house, I start pressing A quickly when Thundurus shows up, since the only thing I can control there is when a dialogue box closes (I mean, I don't start pressing A as soon as I leave the house, because 'I think' it doesn't change anything, the scene will take the same time, always).

Also, my game is saved with repel being used (I haven't read anywhere it's spoil anything, so I thought it'd be ok, it saves me a lot of time).
For general information, the day-care-man is holding an egg. Is that a problem?

Then I fly to Nacrene and go to Route 3 until it's raining there, I catch Thundurus and check the box it is in.

Here are some results of what I got:

NUMBER OF 'CHATTERS' / NATURE / CHARACTERISTICS

01 Chatter == Gentle == Alert to sounds
10 Chatters == Serious == Often dozes off
15 Chatters == Impish == Somewhat vain
20 Chatters == Hasty == Somewhat vain
25 Chatters == Rash == Often dozes off
30 Chatters == Jolly == Often dozes off
35 Chatters == Impish == Often dozes off
40 Chatters == Mild == Alert to sounds
45 Chatters == Hardy == Somewhat vain
50 Chatters == Naive == Alert to sounds

I considered the PID%6 is 0 for often dozes off; 1, 2 and 3 for Alert to sounds; 4 for Mischievous; 5 for Somewhat Vain

If it also helps somehow, my version is White (Spanish). Timer0 is C71, GxStat and VFrame 6 and VCount is 5F.

I thank you all a lot. And it's a pity I can't even continue my game, because if I leave the old lady's house, I will lose Thundurus.

I hope everything with this post is ok. It's my first post here =)

I'm not sure if i can answer this correctly, since it was a long time since i last visited this thread, but i don't think it is possible, well based on my experience. I know some who have rng'd thundurus quite nicely, but they have the benefits of the emulator. Since the rain advances your frame much to the point that you can't determine it accurately without an emulator. And if you plan to reset your game, i recommend that you save outside the old lady's house precisely 1 step before you trigger the conversation with the lady to make things easier for you. :)
