5th Generation Confirmed?

How many turns would it last? Five? Eight with Light Clay (lol)? One-time use, disappears right after it takes all switch-in damage for the turn?

It would last until it got knocked off. It would be good for stuff like Moltres but the pokémon would in turn lose either valuable damage from choice items/life orb or leftovers recovery. But no more 50% damage every time you switch in.

How can it lose power from choice items or life orb when this 'bubble shield' will be an item itself?

I was saying that by using the item, you'd instead not be gaining the power from choice items or life orb. Not really losing it I guess, poor wording.

Hmph, has anyone seen the massive let down that is the "new" pokemon that we all thought was 5th gen?

It's a freaking pichu with messed up ears. Serebii has the pic from CoroCoro.

Balls.

I agree that a 5th gen will come out eventually . . . just not as soon as we might think now.

According to Serebii ( http://serebii.net/index2.shtml ) the blocked out Pokemon in the trailer might just end up being a funky Pichu.

To all those who said another Pikachu clone I salute you for being right . . . again.

i was thinking about a new Ghost/Steel type as well, and i think it would be very interesting, giving it good offensive typing with the former, and good defensive typing with the latter, eliminating all of ghosts weaknesses, and one of steels, making it only fire and ground weak (as long as they didn't give it Levitate or Solid Rock), two common offensive types to keep it in check.

i would love that bad boy.

Wtf is this shit? I am sorry but this is just plain dumb, a god damed pichu.

Why nintendo? Did they do this just to make everyone think its going to be a 5th gen pokemon then spring this on us? Why blank it out and wait a week before revealing that its nothing more than a 2nd gen pokemon that nobody liked (see smash bros melee).

Wow its got two extra spikes on its ears, does this mean diddly squat? That does not make it specail enough to warrent so much attention.

I'm telling you people, this Pichu does have something special.

...

...

Hey wait, if we are going to have an event for this thing (and probably we will), how will we see its "new form"? Maybe they actually gave new forms to the Pikachu line and no one has noticed it yet?

Yeah, Ghost/Steel is a sexy typing. I want it to be somewhat like Dusknoir. Both in looks and stats.

5th generation legends are going to be based off of where pokemon get their power or something that humans and pokemon connect with. Maybe a Satan pokemon?

Brushing aside the Pichu angst momentarily and reminding ourselves that Pokémon is GF and Nintendo's license to print money, let's remind ourselves that a 5th Generation is almost a given at this point. So let's get back to the fun discussion.

I wonder if there'll ever be an move that can revive a fainted Pokémon, and if they did add it, would it be broken? I have an idea for an alternate Fire/Ghost Vulpix evo, or even an evo of Ninetales whose two signature moves would be Revenge Flame (Fire type move that dealt damage and if the Pokémon was hit in the same turn, it'd leave a burn on the target) and Phoenix Light (a support move that cast a light around your team for five turns, and if any Pokémon fainted in the field of battle during that period, they'd be restored to half-HP... it would only work once a match and it wouldn't apply to Pokémon who were fainted before the move was cast).

Normal Type Pokemon named "Shilu" in Japanese

Smells like Ho-oh. And your idea actually makes it quite playable, maybe they will do something alike.

BTW Donnut, betting my pants again it's a fake. I don't even understand what's that supposed to be! >_>

Donutts, don't triple post. You can use the 'enter' button on your keyboard, or just edit your post (go down then right, there's a button named 'Edit'. Click it.)
I'm not mini-modding by the way! It's just annoying..

Also, I don't really think these are new pokemon. Fakemon I bet. Besides, the style is different than other pokemon.
Seriously, who would ever trust google?
EDIT: What Arael said.
