If anything, Skarmory needs a pre-evolution, not an evolution.
Mantine and Skarmory have the same BST with the special stats swapped, they're counterparts! So when I first saw Mantyke, I thought "baby Skarmory!", unfortunately there wasn't...
Then again, Electabuzz and Magmar got evolutions and Jynx didn't.
 
And one new Pokémon I really want is a "hax-god", so I can have something to pray to when I want hax.

Ya know, this does seem like another indication of a GSC remake. On Serebii it talks about how the funky eared Pichu is another gender difference so they could be gearing up for more of those. I mean, this would be the only reason promoting Pichu would remotely make sense.

This way it buys the big N some time to make Gen 5, they make a shit-ton of cash by remaking GSC because we're all consumer whores. Everyone is happy??

Oh right, know how we have Pokémon with 120+ Atk and slow who can Swords Dance?
The world of Pokémon need more Pokémon with the aforementioned traits,
but with Nasty Plot and SpAtk stat.


Farfetched evolution doesn't sound so likely to me for some reason...
As if Farfetched had raped, burned, tortured and raped again Tajiri's family.
 
Am I the only person that believes the unique typing of Surskit should get an evolution? It's on the top of my list.

@ Droideka88, yea, I want a viable Bug/Water type. Surskit could get an alternate Bug/Water evolution. One that doesn't have poor stats.

It has an evolution already. It's evolved form is Bug/Flying and doesn't have the raw power to be competitively good.

If Bug/Water could be passed down to new Pokemon, then I'm up for that.

I meant more like something that controls luck, in the same way as Dialga controls time. A Pokémon that controls who win the lottery, or how lucky you are in video games. I don't think Skymin is like that. It is more like something that is good at using luck, maybe it is liked by the hax god. At least to us. But in real life, if it really existed, I think it's hax would be that it was really good at aiming right or something, so thye hax god wouldn't control that in the real pokémon world. But it would control it in our world, if it was real while Skymin was in the games. I hope you understand what I meen.

I don't think Ditto should get that. But Ditto could get improved. It's hold items, Quick powder and Metal Powder, should work after it transforms. Then it would get something that other transformes doesn't have. And it could be useful with double speed.


One thing they could do in the next games is to change how the speed stat works. So the speed difference determines the CHANCE to outspeed other pokémon, not wether it does it or not. So if you have one speed point more than the opponent, you will not always outspeed it. Just slightly more than 50 % of the time. At least I think that could change the metagame a lot. Maybe people would start using more defensive teams, because they wouldn't want their sweepers to only depend on hax. It could be something that they might do too. At least if it would destroy competitive pokémon. Nintendo seems to hate that, so maybe they would force the developers to make a change like that. In addition to that, they could make moves powerful enough to destroy all walls too, so the players HAVE to depend on hax on their sweepers.

Back on topic, I don't expect anything that's going to be as big as the changes since first gen. There's no real sensible thing that you could add, without it becoming frustratingly confusing. They could add some cool new moves, and Pokemon and everything, but nothing huge.

Why in Arceus' name would you want to see even more hax implemented into the metagame, to the point where every single exchange of moves is dependent on the RNG to determine who moves first? I can't even begin to contemplate how awful that would be.

Personally, I feel Gen 5 should include many new evolutions and pre-evolutions of existing Pokémon. So I'll make a list detailing the Pokémon who deserve said additions to their evolutionary line. I'm basing some of this off base stat totals, which seems to influence the designers to some extent.

Evolutions:
Farfetch'd
Poor Farfetch'd, it's been neglected for generations.
Jynx
Magmar and Electabuzz got evolutions, why shouldn't Jynx?
Ditto
Its stats are one of the worst among full evolved Pokémon. An evolution should have 80 in all stats, so it wouldn't be overpowered.
Eevee
Eevee has evolutions off all originally Special types except Dragon, so it should get one of those(I would call it Draceon)
Dunsparce
New favorite of the Hax god.
Girafarig
Shuckle
Qwilfish
Corsola
The previous four are all pathetic.
Delibird
It's counterparts with Gligar, who got Gliscor, so it should evolve too.
Smeargle
It's even worse than Ditto stat-wise(But it's still a lot better).
Mightyena
It severely needs one, and it would look awesome.
Sableye
Mawile
Both have low base stat totals(BSTs), so they deserve one.
Volbeat
Illumise
Volbeat should gain an Electric-type upon evolving, while Illumise should get a Fire-type when it evolves, or also get an Electric-type.

Luvdisc

Pachirisu
 If it evolves, it should be a flying squirrel (Electric/Flying).

Because it's Mr. Mime's counterpart. Jynx will only evolve along with Mr. Mime.

Well yeah, I think it's an interesting idea so it would have 80 HP after transforming... But all its moves will still have 5 max PP, so it would still suck.

Well yeah, one was Gold-only and the other, Silver-only, but Gligar's BST is 430 and Delibird's, 330. Are they really counterparts ?_? They aren't even from the same Egg Group or something like that (Gligar is Bug, Delibird is lol Water 1/Ground)...

No. Masquerain's BST is a pathetic 414. Masquerain should evolve and get its old typing back somehow. I'd rather see Lapras's (Dragon/Ice) and Flygon's (Bug/Dragon) getting split evos.
 
Looks like we won't be seeing a 5th gen any time soon... As was briefly mentioned earlier, the 'new Pokémon' is just a Pichu 'form', and the Pokémon to be revealed next month is most likely Arceus.

I still think there will be a 5th gen, but just not yet.

Well, we{re definately getting a Steel/Ghost type that can levitate. Probably the sexiest type ever. We are getting a rockeon(Rock EVo of Eevee). Also the surskuit thing would be really nice since it is not completely vulnerable to stealth rock like masquerian. Same with the fire and grass. Possibly a Marowak Evo which would be sweat! Also a steel Evee
Ive been hoping for a cute Chinchou Pre-Evo too. There is also the probablitiy of getting new fossils which would probably be a Trex. Rampardos is not a t-rex. Rampardos is based off of a pachesefolosaurus (I know i didnt spell that right) Fossil could be a brachiosaur also. Or an Anykolosaurus which we havent seen yet. And the last, probably an angel pokemon

Have they won or lost the sues? And I've never heard of it, only about racism (Jynx's color).

The official sites have updated with new Movie 12 information. Apart from confirming the title yesterday, it confirms that the movie concludes the DP trilogy and will explain why Dialga & Palkia are fighting and their feud with Giratina. It also confirmed details about the special Pichu. This Pichu is specifically Female, and is called a Notched-Ear Pichu, due to its left-ear being different, and it seems to enjoy the Grepa Berry. This may mean more gender differences are coming, but thats all the information thats known now. More information will come next month
