I'd like to see calculations with this Pokemon versus the big walls in the tier, as Sniper is a very big boost in power. Reminder that, due to the nature of it's signature moves, Persian's item slot does not require Scope Lens to work, (Super Luck can spam Band and CRIT 50/50 every single time, while Sniper only needs to get off Focus Energy + High CRIT moves for guaranteed crits and can be paired with LO among other items). I do not want a potential Clean Slate Micro Farfetch'd situation to become afoot.

With Fur Coat, Recovery and a good defensive typing, Persian-Alola is a bit too efficient at walling threats rn. We ask that Def is dropped by at the very minimum 15 points, but up to 20 would be preferred.

Weird mon if the goal is to be a defensive mon. Horrid typing and a statline that leans offensive pivot, Meowstic may have trouble pulling off it's desired goal. Also, this thing is way too slow to offer any form of Speed Control.

Lower the HP by a similar or greatee amount to that of Persian-Alola's defense nerf. Mini Clef sounds like a pain to face in such a cramped meta like Alt EX.

Similar reasoning to r1dude's Persian-Alola here - really decent stat spread for Fur Coat given our level of wallbreakers rn. Probably nerf the bulk or just ax it altogether imo. As for Technician Water Shuriken? I am afraid that the council isn't comfortable with that combo especially on a Nasty Plot user. One of the two options here probably has to go, between Shuriken or Tech.

It's specific role is redundant with the existence of prankster Mr. Mime. I think you should carve a new option for it.

We really do not know what this Pokemon is capable of. It's not bulky enough nor has a good enough defensive typing to serve as a wall or tank, and is too weak for an offensive mon. Devoid of utility as well, which is aajor bane to it's credibility as the bulky grounds of the tier are often role compressors with what they provide.

We will now be taking a one week playtesting phase, to iron out kinks in our metagame. 10 Slates is alot of Pokemon, and we can look into what is good, what sucks and what is TOO good, and act appropriately. Some small nerfs to certain Pokemon to make them easier to handle.


- Hypnosis and Sing
Removal of Sleep inducing moves that Persian was not balanced around. It should be much easier for teams to switch into.

Meowstic almost completely eclipsed the likes of Stunfisk and other bulky Ground types within the tier with just how splashable it was as a defensive Pokemon, while also limiting how useful they were with it's access to recovery and its immunity. It now serves as a more offensively inclined utility Pokemon.

Now, we may buff (or nerf) other Pokemon in the future, but lack of testing and meta variety makes us hesitant to do so yet. After more new Pokemon are added, we can further delve into how to balance these Pokemon. With that out of the way, let's launch a brand new slate.

These Galar Pokemon all have alternate forms, but none of them have managed to make much of themselves, so I'd like to see people's take on these Pokemon. One should note, we already have a Psychic Surge setter/abuser in Braviary-Hisui, so submitters should work to make these Pokemon stand out more, not only amongst each other, but in regards to Braviary. What Separates it from Other Forms: Offensive Pivot / Utility with a bevvy of utility options and good offenses. Electric / Dragon coverage is excellent in this meta and combined with Energy Loop gives it key longevity while using attacking moves and staying power throughout a match, allowing it the opportunity to come in multiple times. Also slots in more special Electric-types and one of our first special Dragon-types. This Pokemon's STAB moves are most of the coverage you need. This leaves it 2 free moveslots to whatever it wishes. Defog is great for hazard removal in general, while moves like Encore and Taunt are great at shutting down walls and setup sweepers like Lilligant, Braviary-Hisui, and Araquanid-Totem, which Low-Key matches up favorably against. It also has a fast Healing Wish to give its wallbreaker and setup sweeper teammates a 2nd chance of finishing off the game. This mon also shrugs off burn while being unaffected by paralysis.
