Tired of using haze goggles zygarde as a bp check? Do you hate the fact that it has no reliable recovery, and is trash without leftovers? If all of the above, then Zekrom is the right alternative for you.

Zekrom @ Safety Goggles
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 248 HP / 244 Def / 8 SpD / 8 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Haze
- Roost
- Toxic
- Volt Switch

I present haze goggles Zekrom. The idea of this set is relatively simple, it's a defensive pivot that has the ability to overcome certain bp variants with haze. Roost is much more reliable recovery than zygarde's rest. Toxic is used to punish ground types that think it is safe to switch in, and volt switch is used to pivot on things such as ferrothorn and fairyceus that would normally be checks to a defensive set. Generally, Zekrom is always going to be coming in on physical threats, so max defence is used, however 8 spdef is to tank a fairyceus judgment after rocks and 8 speed is used to speed creep other base 90s, particularly defensive Kyogre as Zekrom most certainly does not appreciate an ice beam.

Zekrom @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Bolt Strike
- Draco Meteor
- Toxic/Defog
- Volt Switch

Naive Nature is faster than Scarf Kyogre (modest), Xerneas and Yveltal and also Deoxys Attack; although it does come with the cost of not 2HKOing 444 HP/315 DEF Arceus, so you could run Naughty if that's an issue. This is a scarfer which has the niche of switching into Rayquaza on a predicted Dragons Ascent, and has volt switch to keep momentum. Toxic allows you to cripple PDons although defog is decent on teams with a less reliable defogger (and makes webs easier to beat, if that's an issue). 84 SPA EVS are needed to OHKO MRay with Draco Meteor without any prior chip so that is an option.

252 Atk Teravolt Zekrom Bolt Strike vs. 252 HP / 156 Def Arceus: 178-210 (40 - 47.2%) -- 44.5% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252+ Atk Teravolt Zekrom Bolt Strike vs. 252 HP / 156 Def Arceus: 195-229 (43.9 - 51.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

4 SpA Teravolt Zekrom Draco Meteor vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Rayquaza-Mega: 326-386 (92.8 - 109.9%)

^Stole my set. The one that I actually use. On a real team. On the ladder. Versus real people. I am good. Zekrom is good. I am good.

You know what? Zekrom had a really bad moveset. My Scarf one on Z-Koko squad has Toxic because everything else sucks so much. This is just horrid. This Mon is so lucky it decimates bad stall teams, otherwise it would be in OU as a bad Kyurem-Black. You want surprise support mons? I got surprise support mons:

Zekrom @ Light Clay
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Light Screen
- Reflect
- Roost
- Volt Switch

What differentiates Zekrom from other screen setters? Well it can pivot out thanks to Volt AND it has reliable recovery in Roost, meaning it can set multiple times. "Isn't this just bad Koko?" Yes, but Zekrom is quite a bit more durable than Screens Koko. It also has a somewhat better typing, so it gets to set screens on more mons.

0 Atk Groudon-Primal Precipice Blades vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Zekrom through Reflect: 186-219 (46 - 54.2%) -- 48.4% chance to 2HKO
0 Atk Groudon-Primal Precipice Blades vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Tapu Koko through Reflect: 247-292 (71.8 - 84.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

0 SpA Earth Plate Arceus-Ground Judgment vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Zekrom through Light Screen: 151-178 (37.3 - 44%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
0 SpA Earth Plate Arceus-Ground Judgment vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Tapu Koko through Light Screen: 192-226 (55.8 - 65.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Koko and Zekrom have a few different resistances, so this portion will be using Arc-Rock to compare neutral Judgements:
8 SpA Stone Plate Arceus-Rock Judgment vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Zekrom through Light Screen: 76-90 (18.8 - 22.2%) -- possible 5HKO
8 SpA Stone Plate Arceus-Rock Judgment vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Tapu Koko through Light Screen: 96-114 (27.9 - 33.1%) -- guaranteed 4HKO

This reliable ability to set screens is an amazing asset for set-up mons. Pairing it with obscure Pokemon, like DD Mega Rayquaza and NP Naganadel, drastically increases their viability. Maybe even all the way to B-rank :p[/B].

I have tried using this set on webs to improve the matchup against stall and I thought it worked pretty well
I am surprised no one has taken this yet

Unfortunately, 6 Marshadow teams lose to Stealth Rock, and since it lacks Stealth Rock itself, it very often loses to the opposing Marshadow holding Focus Sash. Well not anymore! You can copy Stealth Rock, Defog, Toxic, Sword Dance and much more with this. Copycat also works on moves the opposing Pokémon make even if they switch out. Like if you come in on a Dragon Dance Mega Rayquaza, and it switches out assuming you are Focus Sash, Copycat copies Dragon Dance instead of failing. Additionally, Copycat does not miss. To put this into perspective:

252 Atk Life Orb Marshadow Precipice Blades vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Groudon-Primal: 221-260 (64.8 - 76.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Life Orb Marshadow Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Groudon-Primal: 185-218 (54.2 - 63.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Life Orb Marshadow Close Combat vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Groudon-Primal: 165-195 (48.3 - 57.1%) -- 93.4% chance to 2HKO

Nuff said. (Imagine Substitute on Smeargle, then Copycating Spore. Yeah.. imagine that sweet sweet revenge..)

Basically can steal boosts from a lot of setup sweepers without requiring hazards off unlike Sash. This includes GeoXern, Rock Polish NDM, and DD Mega Ray. Can also outspeed Scarf Mega Ray and revenge kill it if it is low enough. Also outspeeding stuff like Deoxys-A, Mewtwos, Ultra Necrozma, and Mega Gengar without needing to click Shadow Sneak is useful too ig to clicking Spectral for more damage or Pursuit without the 50/50. Damage output is slightly disappointing though.

252+ SpA Fairy Aura Xerneas Moonblast vs. +2 0 HP / 0 SpD Marshadow: 252-296 (78.5 - 92.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

+2 252 Atk Marshadow Spectral Thief vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Prism Armor Necrozma-Dusk-Mane: 348-411 (103.8 - 122.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Do you hate having your favorite poltergeist getting chipped with life orb every time it fires off an attack? Frustrated with the low damage output scarf is giving you? Are you wishing your marsh could pack a bit more punch on its attacks without having to use a slot for bu? Now you won't with choice band marsh.

I have rarely seen this set been used, but I can confirm that it hits hard. The set is self-explanatory and what you might expect to be run on a typical marsh set. The difference is that it will be firing its attacks off with the wrath of thor's hammer. Strike fear into your opponents with band marsh.

Notable Calcs:
252 Atk Choice Band Marshadow Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 64 Def Arceus-Ground: 231-273 (52 - 61.4%) -- 2 hit KO

252 Atk Choice Band Marshadow Spectral Thief vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Arceus-Fairy: 183-216 (41.2 - 48.6%) -- 72.7% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock

252 Atk Choice Band Marshadow Spectral Thief vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Rayquaza-Mega: 214-253 (60.9 - 72%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

A set so heat, the entire thing deserves to be bolded. Gettin' really sick of Zygarde's shit, sittin' there all fat and ruining your totally tubular Marshadow sweep? Send that thing back to it's Poké Ball® with a +1 HP Ice. In case you don't know, Z-Work Up gives you +2 Atk and +1 SpA in one turn. This greatly helps mixed Marsh sets (lol) as a way to get past Zygarde for the team. And you know the Zygarde's staying in too, because who memorizes +1 Marshadow HP Ice calcs?

+1 60 SpA Technician Marshadow Hidden Power Ice vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Zygarde: 396-468 (94.2 - 111.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery (why is Zygarde a Pokemon that's allowed?)

This set's power is comparable to Bulk Up Z-Marshadow:

+2 196 Atk Marshadow Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 240+ Def Arceus-Fighting: 235-277 (52.9 - 62.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

+1 252 Atk Marshadow Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 240+ Def Arceus-Fighting: 183-216 (41.2 - 48.6%) -- 10.5% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock (because who Star-Strike's an Arc-Fighting)

And is significantly stronger than just general Life Orb:

252 Atk Life Orb Marshadow Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 240+ Def Arceus-Fighting: 160-188 (36 - 42.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock

This set would best be used on general Primal Groudon BO as an early game breaker to remove Zygarde. With Zygarde gone, the job of breakers walled by Zygarde becomes significantly easier. Think like CM Refresh/SD Arc-Rock, SD Arc-Ground, DD Primal Groudon, DD MRay, or a second Marshadow, this time with LO Bulk Up.
