Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): I have been seriously using Smogon for about 3 years now, starting in early 2022. Most of my experience has been in UU, as I have been playing that tier for 3 years and got drafted for UUFPL 3 times and UUBD once. I got drafted for BWPL, which made me interested in learning BW OU. I would like to learn more about the tier, and improve at mons in general.

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): Started comp mons playing ndou and that has been my main format for a year and a half now, but I’ve been getting interested in fairy gens as well because of the games I’ve seen / played being really fun to watch and I want to be able to perform well in old gen individuals at some point. I have a baseline knowledge of these gens as I’ve played them in the past in certain tours but I want to become proficient in building because the team structures in these tiers catch my attention. I also want to improve my set recognition in these tiers / general in-game so I can perform better in future tours with them.

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon: Well I can't say when i started playing mons but its been quite a few years now. I played gen 7 anything goes for a while off and on. eventually topped the ladder in that. I played a bit of gen 6 PH in the old shark room back when it was private a few years back and people such as Dramlamb and AVcosmoem were around. I eventually took a big break came back and saw there was a ladder for gen 6 PH. From there well my progression just kept going. I felt really happy the first time topping that ladder. After a long period of time now between building more teams topping the ladder a few more times and helping in a lot of the resources between analysis VR and being RO of Oldshark (with great help from NtoTheN and Mbouchon) I can't say my job is done with Gen 6 PH nor will it be entirely be but the meta has become bit more stale for myself personally. I have fooled around with a few other metas like gen 1 ou or played a random game of this or that from time to time but ORAS ou seems to be what I set my eyes on. There are so many metas to pick from but I just went with my gut and said hey Gen 6 seems more in my direction of style. I seriously want to get gud at this metagame and I actually want to develop skills a lot of the matchups and long-term positioning seem extremely hard for me.

I’ve been playing Pokémon showdown since I first discovered competitive in gen 6, and as such I’ve played to obtain a skill level to give my favorite YouTubers a run for their money— despite how unrealistic of a dream that’s been. My goals, however, shifted after scraping into top 500 in randomized formats like gens 3, 5, 6, and 9, to achieving it in gen 3 OU, peaking at around top 50 (albeit it with a premade kingdra para spam team). Now that I see just how large the gap truly is, I’m hoping to take my journey far more seriously by actually understand the complexities of the game like proper team building, exploring any additional formats as directed, and play at a level showing considerably decent tournament participation that shows I hold my own in a pinch.

one of my first of matches was playing a game of ADV AND ORAS. out of all meta games I have played I realized that I enjoyed adv whether it be from the intricacies and details from before the physical special split and unique sets and niches can have.As for ORAS it was the best tier I ever laddered in reaching a 1500elo once. I realized I not only want to have fun in playing these old metagames I actually want to be better at it.

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): I've played showdown very casually since 2021, but didn't try to improve until about 8-12 months ago, courtesy of Jimothy Cool and BKC on youtube. I feel good about my skill, but I want to go from just pushing buttons well and mostly stealing teams to being a skilled teambuilder and having better vision and planning in battle. I've signed up for these tiers because I want to play in the Smogon Classic eventually, and I want to pick up another tier besides ADV.

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): I got onroaded to ADV about six months ago, have a bit of tour experience but not really satisfied with my skill level and looking to improve. I've played some of and been interested in DPP and BW for a while and really want to improve at those as well. I play almost every OU every now and then but I'm particularly focused on improving at these three oldgens. I really enjoy teambuilding in all three, and would like to reach a skill level where I can do it more comfortably.

While I havent had any notable tournament placements Ive had some wins against players way better than me, which i get doesnt mean much, but im still proud of it. Im decent at rby, currently going 4-0 in the undraft ADPL slot, which again doesnt mean much, but still. And i want to try and branch out to other tiers. BW and GSC are the only other 2 gens i can play at all,so those are the ones i want to sign up for.

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): I've been playing since Gen 5, when I started it was usually for fun and not getting so serious I played mostly in a hispanic server so that's where I came with some builds little crazy but it worked. Time has passed and I wanted to improve those tiers that I played before, I'm getting better playing SS to be honest making to the quarterfinals of the SSLT that was made recently I hope that can counts lol, making 5-2 masters league and a 6-3 on OUFL, also last year I was close to make it to the top cut on Smogon masters doing a 6-3. I don't wanna be only a SS player I want to be helpful with other tiers and even with buildings so I can fit for any team.
