Do y'all like regular or shiny Alomomola better?

I like lucario and zoroark and I would like to make a team of three but I need a pokemon to compliment them

A Flying or Ghost type compliments them the best, but a Psychic type would also fit well. I would personally recommend Dragonite, Salamence, Jellicent, Gengar or Alakazam

Hitmontop

I was in the process of making a Hitmontop for the OU tier this is what I had planned.

Intimidate
Careful nature
252 HP
40 Def
216 Sp Def

Moveset:
Bulk up
Toxic
Brick Break
Stone Edge

There will be Heal Bell Support for status. Any thoughts?

Hitmontop is pretty much outclassed as a Bulk Up user. His only viable role in OU is as a spinner. Regardless, Toxic should be replaced with a coverage move of you're using a setup move.

What should I factor in when make my first team? I know I need several sweepers, walls, and etc.

hopefully this would provide the answer. Note that Excadrill is banned :x This is also before all the BW2 changes. Notable BW2 mons that you should have an answer for Keldeo, Thundurus-T, Tornadus-T, Landorus-T, TechLoom, more LO Mamoswine, dragons got a boost (Hydreigon with Superpower & Roost; Kyurem with Earth Power & Roost; Haxorus with Superpower & Aqu Tail; Salamence with Dragon Dance + Outrage combo)

Do jirachi, keldeo, dragonite, and donphan have good synergy together? If so, who else should i add to complete the team? If not, who should I replace with who?

Also, which milotic and lanturn set is most viable for ou?

I Jirachi and Dragonite have really good synergy, and Keldeo and Donphan have pretty good synergy. Seeing as you have Keldeo and Dragonite, just slap in a Politoed and a Tentacruel and you've got a standard team. Good luck.

Milotic's RestTalk set works wonders, here's a link:
http://www.smogon.com/bw/pokemon/milotic/ou

As for Lanturn, well it's not very viable in OU, but here's a link of sets anyway:
http://www.smogon.com/bw/pokemon/lanturn/uu

Also remember that experience is a great tool for synergizing a team.

You can get a Soul Dew in B2/W2 now, right? So how come Latios is still in OU? And if we can legally get our hands on a Soul Dew, can we use it on OU battles until Latios shifts?

Thanks for that :)

I looked at the milotic ou page and i was confused. On the resttalk said, when it lists what stats milotic has when marvel scale is inactive, it says 394 hp, 282 def, and 286 spec def. however, that comepletely differentiates from the evs and natures given. That one listed would have to be bold with 4 spec def and 252 hp and def. is this an error? Im not sure which evs or nature to use...

The first set of numbers you listed is the actual stat values, not the EVs.

I know. But what im saying is that the evs and nature listed does not correspond with the stat points listed inside that particular analysis for rest talk in ou. Either that or my brain is fried. Correct me if im wrong, but if it was calm with 240 evs in defence, shouldnt it be 254 def instead of the 282 def listed?
Because of this, im not really sure if i should be using a calm or bold nature, or whether to use the evs listed right below the recommended nature.

Ah, I see what you mean now. Well, it's really up to you which one you want to use, defensive EVs and natures tend to be pretty flexible unless you're trying to beat a specific threat.

Since BW2 has come out, pokes like Breloom and Zangoose can be found in the hidden hollow. Does BW1 have their sprites or can they only be used in BW2?

I recently made an All Bug team with the intention of competing in OU, but not all the Pokemon are from OU. Am I kidding myself? Also, where could I post my team for scrutiny? I haven't gotten to test it out against anyone yet but when I play on Nintendo's Global Match System I don't do so well. 3v3 and Flat rules hurts my team's synergy.

Anyway my question is where do I post my team to get it analyzed by some people who know what they're doing.

If you really want to compete in OU the first thing you should do is reeading some of the articles on this site they are found here.
You should also either download Pokemon Online or make a Team on Pokemon Showdown, playing on the cartridge isn't a bad thing, but these simulators allow you to make teams much much faster and especially when you begin playing you will need to experiment a lot until you get even remotely good. A majority of the community is playing almost exclusivly on the simulators where the standart matches are played 6v6.
Another good thing to do would be signing up for the tutor program here on Smogon you can find it here.
When you have made your first good Team you could post it here to get it rated, however i advise you to wait until you post a team there, because your first teams are usually terrible ;)
Also if you haven't already done it, read the rules of each forum, most of it is common sense, but it doesn't takes long and can save you an infraction.

The sprites are programmed into BW1. Otherwise, you wouldn't be able to transfer things over from DPPt :P

Hey Guys! I took a break from competetive pokemon a while ago and back then, i wasn't good either .__.
Well, there is a little fun "tournament" later, and i thought: "Why not? it will be fun!" so i decided to build myself a team..... untill i realised i suck at it.
The only real thing i know is that i want to have Prankster sableye as my Lead. so i was just wondering if you guys could help me find some teammates for my little guy c:

Thanks!

Thanks for the help. I've read some of those articles and just recently read the RMT rules and am still not sure whether or not themed teams are discouraged. When I see other people build teams it's usually just a mish-mash of Pokemon that have the highest rating or are the "coolest". I wouldn't say my team sucks but I think that there are some things that could be hammered out by explaining exactly what I hope to accomplish with the team.

For now I'll make my team on a simulator and test it out. Thanks for the link.

Well, most classic approaches for beginners are abusing field effects/using cores. Since Sableye is more of a stall type pokemon, the core of Amoonguss/Slowbro works well with it- and you might want to slap in a hazard setter so that Sableye can spin block. You could also go with a more offensive approach, throwing in a Politoed and some rain abusers (Tornadus-I, Thundurus-I, Toxicroak, Keldeo, etc.) and build a team from there. There are a ton of options, so decide what kind of team you want and then you can go from there.
