Just say I do Damage: 185 - 218 to a Skarm who switches in with 334 HP, factoring in Lefties, is that a 2HKO?
Thats 55.4% - 65.3%, so yes as it is more than 53.25% needed to 2HKO, so I'm pretty sure it will 2HKO

That is a guaranteed 2HKO, yes. MetalKid's calculator should be able to confirm that. As long as the attack inflicts at least 53.125%, it will 2HKO a Pokemon holding Leftovers.

Sounds about right, but can someone confirm this?

I'm actually working on an Excel-based damage calculator (part of a set of utilities, actually) which will include probabilities of OHKO/2HKO/etc. The critical hit percentages will factor into the chance, of course, so I'd like to make sure they're right.

When you say, 'confirm', what do you mean? Re-testing this is going to take a long, long time and there's no guarantee of accuracy. Looking at the game code is the best bet. If you want confirmation, you may have to test it yourself.

What's the right nature and moveset for a Buneary and a Beautifly in Contests? I want to help my friend so I'd like to know. Thanks.

Oof, that's a good question. Since this is a competitive battling site, not many people here probably do contests much. Have you tried the forums at Serebii, maybe?

I was assuming that at least one of the researchers had already tested it and posted the results in one of the Research threads or somewhere like that. Seeing as how I can't find it anywhere around here, that probably isn't the case...

Shiny Elite:

Buneary: Cute Movelist.
Ensure maximum Cuteness, Pink Scarf.
Fake Out: Cute, **: If the Pokemon performs first, earn +2. Bred on from male Meowth with Fake Out.
Frustration: Cute, **: If the Pokemon performs last, earn +2. Level-Up move (level 13).
Facade: Cute, **: If the Pokemon performs last, earn +2. TM 42. To avoid using the TM, breed Facade from male Chimchar and female Meowth, hatch male Meowth egg, level to Fake Out, breed this Meowth with female Buneary, and get Buneary with Fake Out and Facade.
Healing Wish: Cute, -: Appeal Point matches voltage of judge. (Appeal equals Judge's current number of stars.) Level-Up move (level 53).
Move order: Fake Out, Frustration, Facade, Frustration, earns 16x* total. If it seems appeal will be maxed out by your next appeal on a turn, use Healing Wish instead of the written move.

Beautifly: Cute Movelist.
Ensure maximum Cuteness, Pink Scarf.
Bug Buzz: Cute, **: If the judge's voltage goes up, earn +2. Level-Up move (level 41).
Frustration: Cute, **: If the Pokemon performs last, earn +2. TM 21.
Facade: Cute, **: If the Pokemon performs last, earn +2. TM 42.
Rest: Cute, -: Appeal Point matches voltage of judge. (Appeal equals Judge's current number of stars.) TM 44.
Move order: Bug Buzz, Facade, Frustration, Facade, earns 16x* total. If it seems appeal will be maxed out by your next appeal on a turn, use Rest instead of the written move. Same idea as Buneary's movelist.
Beautifly can also try to pull off a Beauty (appeal of: Energy Ball, Silver Wind, ???, Silver Wind) or Cool (appeal of: Aerial Ace, Natural Gift, ???, Natural Gift) list, but it lack a good, consistent move to occupy the third slot of each appeal attempt.

Absolutely. Remember the Medicham-for-Haunter trade in the game (Snowpoint City)? That Haunter comes with an Everstone...

Yeah, I remember that trade. But when I traded my Kadabra over with an Everstone, it tried to evolve...I'll try it again when I get home.

One of the researchers did test it, but that's where I got my info, too. So even if found, I'm not sure it would qualify as a confirmation.

I'm new to ubers and I plan on using Lugia so it's very important someone answers this question for me. Why does the Lugia analysis list speed evs? Wouldn't it be better off to have special defense evs instead to fight off Latios?

When i use the rebattle code for palkia with an AR replay, i see palkia but i can't fight him. Am i doing something wrong or is it impossible to rebattle palkia and dialga?

@Soma

The speed evs are listed so that it out speeds + speed nature 90 ubers like groudon or dialga. Because CBGroundon can severely hurt lugia on the switch in, it helps to be faster since you can use reflect before it hits you again or use roost to stall it out. Even with the shortage of defense evs lugia will still take hits reasonably well.

Just wondering, what causes pokes to appear as hacked when going through cheat dectors? I ask this for sake of attempting some AR codes that I have used in the past, such as fast egg hatch, instant egg, Nature Mods, and force spawning.

Does force spawning a legend, such as Latios, in the Advance game cause it to appear as a hack? Or does it just modify the encounter rates?

I don't want to sound like I'm asking how to hack to were one doesn't get caught...more like I'm asking what can be done, that is legal to do, such as fast egg and the like, Breeding projects take long enough as it is.

I just got an AR. Is there a code to check a Pokemon's IVs?

Subscribe in the code manger to http://www.freewebs.com/ff3sub/PP.xml this, it has most every code you will ever need, when using the IV checking code, pair it with the All TM's / HM's Code, if a zero appears in the poke's IV's, it sort of glitches out the TM's and HM's, so you can reset the numbers on the fly. This pair really aids breeding so you don't have to ask for an IV battle every ten minutes.

EDIT: Okay, I subscribed.

Now I gotta connect the AR to my comp and update it, right?

How the hell do I do that? O_O

Sorry, man, but I've literally had this thing for, like, an hour.

Near the bottom of the AR program their is a button called subscriptions, you type in the HTML, and then you drag it over to the codes pannel.

I think, its been along time since I altered anything on my ar, I just use it for speed breeding, Iv checking and such...

Edit: You pritty much got it, you can figure it out just dicking around with it, avoid using the game data changing codes, the items, IV checkers, Quick egg hatch, and Re-battle functions are your friends.

Although, I am wondering about my previous question, about does force spawning legends make them hacked according to cheat dectors, and what sets off the cheat dectors?

Myabe a dumb question but I always see the term "optymal leftovers recovery"? What does it mean exactly?

Leftovers gives back 8% rounded down (correct?) the Ideal leftovers recovery is that your hp is a round divisible number that doesn't waste ev's on excess HP that doesn't really gain more leftovers recovery.

Can Glaceon survive an unboosted Fire Fang or Stone Edge from max Attack, choice banded Garchomp? If so, how much Defense/HP investment does it need?

How long is the "quick" update supposed to take?
