What's the best type coverage for a Choice Scarf Metagross?

I was thinking Ice Punch / Thunder Punch / Meteor Mash / Earthquake, but I'm not sure.

There is no best coverage. but ice+ground is coverage enough, I would replace thunderpunch with zen headbutt or agility, mostly for the chance to get a STAB move with a flinch rate, or get out of metagross's slow pace.

EDIT: Unless gyrados is a problem to your team.

This is a Choice Scarf Metagross, so Agility is useless.

Gyarados doesn't really eat my team, but Metagross with Choice Scar is really awesome. Usually I carry HP Electric on something.

I guess I'll go with Ice Punch / Zen Headbutt / Earthquake / Zen Headbutt. Thanks for the help. :D

Instead of having 2 Zen Headbutts, substitute one for Meteor Mash or BOTH for Explosion and Meteor mash.

I reccomend the latter.

I don't know if this is a simple question but I hope anybody can help me.
After I read this thread regarding Gliscor I noticed that the defensive damage calculations seemed a little weird because they say that Gliscor would receive the same damage from Adamant Lucario's Close Combat and Adamant Gallade's Close Combat. I checked the analysis and both are supposed to run Max Attack and Life Orb but since their base attack stats aren't the same then they shouldn't do the same damage.
I checked with these 2 calculators:
http://ownpurpose.com/damage_calculator_test.php
http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38011 (Excel 2003 version)
Both showed that the thread above is wrong with the calculations and the actual damage would be:
  • 89 - 105 (26.49% - 31.25%) from Lucario
  • 97 - 114 (28.87% - 33.93%) from Gallade
So far so good, the problem appeared when I tried to calculate the damage done by Max Attack Adamant Heracross with Choice Band.
The first calculator gave me 125 - 148 (37.2% - 44.05%), while the second one gave me 124 - 148 (36.9% - 44.05%). Not satisfied with the result I tried this other calculator and got 126 - 148 as the result.

I know that the difference is minimal but I have to know which one of the 3 calculators is right. It seems that the discrepancy is only shown when using the item Choice Band because when I change it back to Life Orb the 2 first calculators give identical results again (Psy Poke's seems to always give a different result than the 2 others so I think that one is wrong).

Please don't advice me to use Metalkid's calculator instead because that one is already known to give wrong results.

This is a dumb question, but I'd appriciate oppinions: Can a Life Orb/Leftovers Zapdos make a good lead or does it NEED Choice Scarf?

Choice scarf can't use Roost, can it...
Err... what?
Lefties Zapdos is a good lead because it takes status well, which is usually a problem.

Zapdos@leftovers
252 HP / 220 SpD / 36 Spe
Calm

-Sleep Talk
-Rest/Roost
-Thunderbolt
-Hidden Power (Ice)

I like to use this myself. You could attempt a Scarf Zapdos, but it's attacking movepool is REALLY Limited, and is thus it's better at a defensive role.

Ok, I have some questions concerning Mold Breaker. AFAIK, it ignores Levitate, Thick Fat, and Solid Rock. But there are other questions I have regarding Mold Breaker. Here they are:
1) Can Pinsir use Swagger on Slowbro?
2) Does Pinsir's Stone Edge have 100% accuracy on No Guard Machamp? Or can it miss? Similarly, does Machamp have 100% accurate Stone Edge on Pinsir?
3) If Gardevoir traced Mold Breaker, can it use Thunder Wave on Hitmonlee?
4) Can that same Gardevoir use Hypnosis on Insomnia and Vital Spirit Pokemon?
5) Can that same Gardevoir have a chance to lower special defense of Metagross and Regi's with Psychic/Shadow Ball?

OmegaX, I find that Cardoftheheart's calculator (the Excel one you mentioned) seems to have the most accurate results out of any of those calculators you used.

Psypoke's has been on the fritz for a while, I don't know when it'll be corrected.

Hmm. If it still doesn't work (check it right now), then I'm 80% sure your pokemon are gone. It would have been safer if you had transferred it to an SD card :(
I don't like using such. Oh well, by ~100 shiny Nidoran M and all my retired Pokemon teams of yore. ;-;

if i slather honey now
12 hours from now ill be sleeping
so if i wake up 24 hours from now, does the honey effect go away or are the pokemon still going to be there

It turns out that both calculators are right. I calculated the damage manually using X-Act's Damage formula and noticed that the order in which you input Type1 and Type2 of the pokemon that receives the damage matters.
Since Gliscor is a Ground/Flying pokemon then Type1 equals 0.5 and Type2 equals 2. I reversed the order and because of that the calculation gave me a wrong value.

The pokémon will be gone. They will only appear for like a hour after the 12 hours have passed and then they are gone. If you missed the time, tough luck, You have to do it over again =/

I like Ubers better...

I'm having trouble finding a Pokemon for my standard sandstorm team. I want a Pokemon that resists Ice attacks and not weak to fighting or ground (preferably resists one). I've been using Empoleon but keep getting CC'd or EQ'd.

How about Bronzong? That's the only pokemon that resists the Ice Ground combination.
Apart from Shedinja, but I can really see that on your sandstorm team =p.

Bronzong is great... only he's already on my team. Thank you though, should have mentioned.

Metagross? With Magnet Rise, it meats all of those conditions. Other than it, Scizor and Forretress also work.

I know a Pokemon's IVs - but I'm not quite sure on the EVs I put on her. How do I tell how many EVs I have based on her current stats?

1. Yes
2. 100% for both
3. Yes
4. Yes
5. I don't think so because the effect happens after the attack but I'm not sure.

Edit: Actually, Gardevoir could probably lower special defense on them because Mold Breaker stops Shield Dust and both abilities are essentially doing the same thing in that instance.
