Where can I learn more about SCMS?

the scms or "smogon content management system" is what we use to update the content on the site.

If you're interested in what happens to a peer edit, then any badged user converts the submission to valid html and edits the entry on the scms. It then needs someone with a site staff badge to accept the change, whereupon it is added to memacached and served to the public.

Sorry, phrased the question badly. If I want to use, say, Oven form Rotom, do I have to use Overheat on the set, or can I have a Rotom-H without the move?
 
You can, but you will have to teach it the move when you make it Oven Rotom and remove it afterwards. At least from what I've read.

Marill learns Belly Drum as egg move from Poliwrath (& family), while it can only learn Aqua Jet as egg move from Dewgong, Kabutops, Empoleon, or Floatzel (& family), none of which can also learn Belly Drum, and Poliwrath also cannot egg move aqua jet. So, the two sets of pokemon never mix. In order for Marill to have both egg moves you'll either need to breed it with something that can: 1) learn both moves naturally, or 2)learn aqua jet naturally and belly drum as egg move, or 3)learn belly drum naturally and aqua jet as egg move. No such pokemon exists, so can't have both.
 
I don't feel like being flamed on UU/BL thread... When and how exactly is UU going to be "balanced". I'm getting impatient for BL NFE's to be allowed in UU...

Someone responded to my 2nd question, but that's false though. Whenever I evolve a pokemon with a nickname, it always keeps its nickname, but not this time.. :/

This happened to me once too. The Pokemon was just a Togetic...not shiny or anything. It was caught, trained, and nicknamed by my friend and she doesn't even own an AR. When it evolved into Togekiss, the nickname went back. And since it had been Pal Park'd, there's no way for me to re-name it back >_<.

A friend of mine had the same thing happen with an Eevee. The only connection I can make is that all three Pokemon evolve via stone but I doubt that's what causes it XD;.
 
Well, I tried it on a traded Eevee last night, and it kept the nickname it had from its original owner even after it became a Jolteon :/

I was traded a slakoth with a nickname but when i evolved it it changed to slaking. I was informed by some of the most knowlagable members that it was due to it being hacked.
 
@Kira: If your threads suck or you don't "get" their humor then you can be banned from there (not smogon, just firebot). Firebot isn't really the place to post if you are new.
@shadow being: I don't think they are original stuff only, some mods didn't have badges until recently. I suppose you just have to be somewhat known for contributions and be recommended by somebody they trust.

EDIT: lol, you must really be a terrible poster Kira to get an infraction as soon as you asked about that.
EDIT #2: I just saw what you did in the RMT subforum. Maybe you should refrain from posting at all.
 
I'm thinking the answer is yes, but just want to make sure. If a pokemon that is faster than its opponent uses the move counter or mirror coat while the opponent uses a move that has a flinch rate, the pokemon using counter/mirror coat still has a chance to be flinched, right?

Do people generally give their Dusknoirs EVs in attack, and if so, how much?

I'm going with the WoW/Sneak/Split version, and it's sassy.
 
The only sets that Require attack EVs are the Choice band and sub punch sets. usually, you want to prioritize HP, then Defence/Special Defence

Really, contributing (without even bothering to check what you can do to help here!) for the sake of becoming a mod or whatever is shallow. This kind of mindset will get you nowhere good at this forum.
