I got a lvl 25 Shuppet and Clamperl and want to level them up to lvl 100 as fast as I can but I don't want the Clamperl to evolve. What's the fastest way do this?

If I give Clamperl the Lucky Egg and battle then, every lvl I have to go throught the process of cancelling the evolution.

Is the day care a good way?

btw I don't have rare candies and can't hack.

IIRC, doesn't Clamperl evolve through trading? So you shouldn't have problems with it evolving in your game.

and how do these methods work (i.e. where to battle and how to use daycare)

Just give em lucky egg and battle the highest level trainers you can with their current level till they can battle through the elite four. At that point just battle it through the elite four. The day care would take FOREVER to do...

Another option is to trade it to someone who DOES have rare candies and let them do that...

Also keep in mind that if this is for battling or checking IVs you can just battle and they automatically go to level 100...

This is probs up somewhere, but when will the Platinum analysis be up? When it's released in NA?
Edit: Also, U-Turn keeps Mean Look in play, doesn't it?

if you don't feel like battling you can put your pokemon in the day care and then go to fuego iron works with the move arrows and tape down the keys on the ds and leave it their for a few days, charging so it doesnt run out of batteries

yeh i'm thinking that too

but i'm wondering how much experience will be given using that tactic in say an hour, or a day.

does anyone know how much experience putting your pokemon in the day care and doing that down arrow trick in fuego ironworks gives in a hour?

You do snag them from trainers but what I'm talking about has nothing to do with catching them.

You know how shinies sparkle when they appear on screen? Colosseum has that too but instead of stars, it's 2 orbs that circle the Pokemon.

Here is a picture of my old shiny Machop with the orbs, and my shiny Metagross with the orbs as they come back together to end the shiny sequence.

I wish I could've gotten video of it but I didn't have a camera worthy of making decent video back then.


After looking around YouTube I finally found a video of those orbs. Click here to watch it. The guy has a shiny Starmie. It appears at 3:21 so you should be able to see them (I commented the video and 3:21 should be clickable and if you click it it'll take you right to the moment it comes out)

It's not very clear but it's the best I can do. I'm fairly certain that you'll see the shiny orbs on a shiny shadow Pokemon as well.

Thinking about running Lucario in a Trick Room Team w/Macho Brace; that being said Lucario is not a very Defensive pokemon and since no EVs will be invested in speed the only option left is a MixCario best move set to use? Thinking of something like

Lucario @ Macho Brace
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 4 HP|252 Atk|252 SAtk
Brave Nature
-Close Combat
-Hidden Power [Ice]
-Crunch
-Vaccum Wave

Suggestions?
 
Is breeding a Hitmonlee/chan/top with a Ditto the only way to get a Tyrogue?
I think I just realized I can't use any of my awesome Humanshape parents :/

In D/P you can find Tyrogue in Route 208 and 211-West with the PokeRadar.

Otherwise you'll have to breed.
