From a thread a while back:
Go! Metagross!
Go! Misdreavus!

Metagross used Explosion!
The bad guys and Metagross fainted!
Misdreavus was unharmed!
Misdreavus used Memento!
But there was no target...

Replacement bad guy gets sent in!
Go, Smeargle!
Smeargle used Sketch on Misdreavus!
Smeargle Memento get!

Or in Ruby/Sapphire, aim a Sketch at something that's asleep that chose Memento.

Are you really sure that such a glitch exists? I've never heard of it, and highly doubt there is such a glitch. Where did you read this?
 
The breeding Ditto glitch exists only in Japanese versions of Diamond/Pearl. Furthermore, the glitch was discovered pretty quickly so it most likely only exists in the earliest copies of the game. To do the glitch you must Transform with Ditto and then allow Ditto to be KO'ed in its Transformed state.

Since I am here I might as well ask a question. Does Skill Swap hit through Substitute?

No, because most people are dumbasses and will try and focus punch or sub or leech seed.

But I guess you are better off letting something else take the Spore. Blissey and Magnezone are likely to get focus punched, so it would take a lot more prediction. The basic plan is to make him get that sub up as you switch Flygon in, then U turn to gengar who can proceed to kick some ass.

I thought it had something to do with DItto running out of PP.

Did the Moltres use Roost? Roost removes the flying type part of the Pokemon for one turn effectively making Moltres a pure Fire type.

If Moltres did not use Roost then it was obviously a glitch and I suggest you report it.
 
Oh, on the topic of Glitches.

I was using my Paralysed Exeggutor with the Sun up, and encored into Solarbeam fighting a Clefable.

I had to take in sunlight.

Was that a glitch?

Edit: In Shoddy, not WiFi.

I believe that encore + Solarbeam is a known glitch on Shoddy (I know it's been mentioned before).
