wait really lorak, the only thing mpr uses to determine if its the same game is the sid/id/name, that could be useful for mass transfer

I don't know, was just guessing. I don't really have the will to do so, even if I do have the means.

Is it possible to catch an Onix or Steelix in a grass patch instead of a cave? I tried checking Serebii, but I don't know the exact locations of the places they list...

No to each.

I think if you psycho shift the burn over to the fire pokemon, it will get burned, but if you trick the flame orb over to the fire pokemon, it will have no effect.

I have a Kingdra with 225 speed and Swift Swim. Supposedly, Swift Swim doubles speed in rain so that should be 450. Yet how does pokemon like Latias and Gengar consistently outspeed me in rain? They can both only go up to 350 speed without boosts. I remember they weren't scarfed but I'm not entirely sure. Is there any way they could outspeed me without it?

Swift Swim does double speed in rain. Only a few ways that this could happen.

1. Trick Room (probably not)
2. Paralysis (Maybe, you might've forgotten)
3. Speed Lowering Items (Probably not)
4. Speed Lowering Moves (Probably not)
5. Rain is not up (Maybe, you might've forgotten)
6. Choice Scarf (lol you weren't sure right?)
7. Gastro Acid/Worry Seed/Ability Shit (Probably Not again)
8. you remembered wrongly.

No. Fire-type Pokemon do not get burned in any instance, similar to how Steel-type Pokemon do not get poisoned in any instance. Somehow, Fire types can get frozen, which is mildly amusing.

But I thought that it was coded as an offensive move?

The way it is affected by types is similar in the coding of an offensive move, but it not designated as a physical or special attack, and therefore affected by Taunt.

When you use Rest, how do the two turns work?

To clarify, I mean do you use Sleep Talk on the first two turns, and wake up on the third?

Also, does the turn count reset if you switch (i.e. if you Sleep Talk for one turn, is that turn subtracted from the Rest period, or does it reset to two turns if you switch)?

Yes

No, the turn count doesn't reset.

Can a Brave, max HP max Def Lickilicki survive a typical Azelf lead explosion?
According to Metalkid's damage calcultor the typical Azelf lead's Expolsion will do 84.43% - 99.29% which means if Lickilicky takes Stealth Rock damage it will go down. Since most Azelf use Stealth Rock that means Lickilicky will not survive.

Some related questions:

1. How do type-effective berries work? Do hey remove weakness or just lower it to 2x in the case of 4x weak?
2. What is Parasect's weakness to fire (with dry skin), 5x or 8x?
3. How will Occa work on a DrySkin Para?

3. How will Occa work on a DrySkin Para?

1. they lower the weakness one stage. it will remove a x2 weakness, and convert a x4 into a x2.

2. Parasect is dead to fire attacks with or without Dry Skin.

3. i would guess he would still die, but i don't know for sure.

A Dry Skin Pokémon takes x1.25 damage from Fire-type attacks, so a Dry Skin Parasect takes approximately x5 damage from Fire-type attacks. It's applied at a different time than the Super-Effective modifiers, though, so it's not exact.

Occa Berry could be effective, but I'd probably only use it if I also had Rain Dance support.
