Here's a dumb question for smart people.

When Breeding, say I have a Rhydon with Megahorn and a Smeargle with Megahorn. Would the baby get Megahorn as well because both parent's know the level-up move Megahorn?

Or do I need 2 Rhy's?

Only the father need know the move in order for it to be carried on in the offspring. So if you had a male Smeargle that knew Megahorn and a female Rhydon who did not, the Rhyhorn offspring would still know the move. This applies for move taught to the father via TM's and move learned.

No, for level-up moves both parents need the move. The female Rhydon needs Megahorn too.

To make it simple, I have an IV set I want to get for Heatran, one that lets me get HP Grass with a Rash Nature so I can Scarf it and whatnot. I found the spread in the Excel document, but I didn't find a frame. Is that the offset number? How do I find it?

I opened up the RNG calculator and I entered Method J. I saw that it let me input desired IVs and Natures and stuff... but when I hit generate it's not coming out. Just what exactly am I doing wrong?

How do Tyrogue's abilities change as him evolves?

For Tyrouge bred/caught in D/P one ability will always turn into the same ability when it evolves. I believe the sets are Guts/Limber/Keen Eye/Intimidate and Steadfast/Reckless/Iron Fist/Technician.

If however, you import him via Pal Park his ability will be random when he evolves. IIRC though, it will be random from the time of being imported rather than the time of evolving. So you can't just save and try until you get the one you want.

How do Tyrogue's abilities change as him evolves?

I think that in most cases Guts becomes the 3rd gen ability (Limber, Keen Eye, Intimidate), while Steadfast becomes the 4th gen ability (Reckless, Iron Fist, Technichian).

My two Steadfast Tyrogue evolved into Technichian Hitmontop and Iron Fist Hitmonchan, for example.

Fortunately, my Tyroge was bred in D/P, so I guess Steadfast will change to new abilities, and guts, to the old ones.

Thanks!

Blitzkrieg - I moved your earlier thread into the DPPt RNG research thread. Mingot has attempted to answer your question...it's on Page 130.

If anyone has any knowledge as to how I could possibly fix my shoddy battle problem of "Unable to launch application" it would be greatly appreciated. Just to let everyone know who reads this, yes I have gone over to the shoddy battle help thread and posted for help but, everyone just ignores me there. I even sent two PM's each to both bearzly and ColinJF+ but, they don't PM me back with help so I thought the best last resort place to ask would be here. Thanks if anyone can help me:D

Still need help with this problem.

ummm my only guese would be to check if its a zipped file and if so you are gona need winzip (you can get it free, just google winzip free download)

It's definitely not a zip file, I checked and it says it's a JNLP file and when I open it the default opening program is Java (Latest Version).

Yes I've done that many times, ok now I'm able to get shoddy battle to open where all of the server information is at but, in all of the servers it says 0/whatever the max number is and whenever I try and connect it says Connection timed out:connection. Anymore help?

Yea. Play WIFI.

Heh, all joking aside.. I think you need to either check your firewall settings, like turn it off, boot up the program and try to connect, then turn the FW back on, or you just need to get the Address and connect "directly" to the server you want to go on.

The firewall is off, tried connecting still same thing, haven't tried turning the firewall back on though. I've already tried connecting "directly" with the server I want to connect to it still says the connection timed out.

Can somebody explain the the move Magic Coat more exactlier?
Is it a team support move (when used once, team is protected (temporary) by annoying moves and status inflicting moves) or is it a move, who only works, when the user used it?

Only works when the user uses it.

The move that protects the team from status is called Safeguard that lasts for 5 turns I think.

Okay, damn..
Safeguard is not more useful, because it isn't affected by Light Clay.
Only reliable option seems Taunt..
