I'm trying to utilize RNG on my Platinum version, but I have a few questions:

1.) Is there a way to change your initial seed, or do you just have to work with what you're handed?

2.) Is there any way to advance the RNG by 1 (or any odd number) besides walking?

3.) I know my starting seed, and have a predictable delay time, but I don't quite understand how to take an IV spread that I want and calculate the time that I should start the game at to make the spread available for my starting seed.

Help?

this would be a beter thread to post this question

I'm wondering if the Pokéwalker's batteries die, do you lose any Pokémon or items you have stored on it?

No, you can go to the Pokewalker part of the main menu and retrieve the Pokemon from the Pokewalker even if you lose your Pokewalker/the batteries die. The Pokemon then goes back to the way it was before you put it in the Pokewalker. You need to reset the Pokewalker if you lose it, get the Pokemon out, and find it again.

Edit: @ Aura Sphere: I've assumed that the Pokewalker runs on a watch battery so you shouldn't need to change it for a long time. If it runs on AAs then they should be easy to change.

I hoped there would be a Pokéwalker section in the game. But what if I told the game that I lost my Pokéwalker and got my Pokémon back then I took it and transferred my Pokémon back to my game, would I have clones?

If you tell the game to take the Pokemon back without the Pokewalker connected, you will have to delete the Pokemon in the Pokewalker before you can send another Pokemon into it. You can't transfer it into another game either because you have to set the Pokewalker to a specific game and I assume it will delete any Pokemon in there at the time.

Only thing I did to get mine was leave Tyrogue in day care until about lvl 18 from birth, take it out, use a few Irons to get the stats even(mine was a Naughty nature) and battle against pokemon with EV's in defense until lvl 20. The stats stayed even so I got my Hitmontop. That's the best way I could come up with. If the stats are even from the start, you could just battle pokemon with EV's in HP or speed until lvl 20. I would think that'd work, too.

EDIT: Of course afterward, you'd have to use EV reducing berries to train the Hitmontop correctly. Forgot about that.

Well not exactly clans or gyms. But maybe like teams. Maybe 6 or 5 people make a compettieve battling team that would war with other teams. For gyms, maybe 6 or 5 people team make a "gym". One person will battle all those players and after they beat the last person, they get a prize. Like a custom-made badge, Credz to their shop, a pokemon. Would those work in Smogon.

There's already something like this: the Smogon Frontier.

Those strike me as pointless. You already have Shoddy Battle with the ladder rankings and CRE; I don't see why you would want your success to depend on the success of others when you can already show your skills on the ladder.
Maybe if you get temporarily IP banned for no good reason
