Hey guys, my team is starving for a DD Gyrados counter right now, but my roster is already full. So I had a few questions...

Is there any amount of Speed EVs I can give a defensive Zapdos so that it will outspeed Gyra after one DD? (I realize probably not...)

Also, how much damage does Stone Edge from Swampert (with 6 Atk EVs...) do against Gyrados? Any chance of a 2HKO?

stone edge 2hko gyara if swampert was not intimidated or if the gyara is not a bulky gyara, zapdos also cannot outspeed +1 gyara

Latias got >50% votes Uber, so what will happen now?

Is Salamence with Flamethrower/Fire Blast (aka any Salamence set) a reliable Scizor counter/check?

There is going to ba another vote. There is a thread in stark about it.

No. Mence takes far too much from Bullet punch, though if a CB Scizor is locked into Pursuit/Superpower you can kill it.

Rage Glitch: http://glitchcity.info/wiki/index.php/Rage_glitch

Is this allowed in competitive battling? Are there any posted movesets for it? Where's the Mimic tutor?
It's banned; see this post. Strangely, I can't find anything more formal than a post by a Super Moderator, but that's enough to pretty strongly convince me that using the glitch is banned (not to mention that it's banned in the VGC too, and it would pretty much destroy the entire metagame if it were allowed).

to tell the true a +6 life orb bullet punch from scizor ohko zapdos after SR and can 2hko heatran too with SR and spikes if i am correct(only 1 layer)

Does Leech Seed recover HP based on damage or percentage?

How many Pokémon theme songs are there?

Why is Farfetch'd nicknamed Dux?

This might be a weird question, but what Pokemon has the most variance in type of its level-up moveset as far as attacks (as in, not defense or support moves) go?

Presumably you discount Smeargle (who does not strictly learn any damaging moves by level up) and Arceus (who can have Judgement be any type by plates, but not all at once)

Salamence does quite well, getting 7 types - Fire, Electric, Normal, Dragon, Psychic, Flying, and Dark. Dragonite also gets 7, with Water instead of Dark. I've yet to find a Pokemon that gets more than 7 types of attacking move by level-up.

lucario is also almost there, learning fighting, dark, ground, dragon, steel and normal but i guess the ones that learn the most are mence and nite. maybe dusknoir is close there too since he learn element punchs, ghost dark and some other random shit moves.

Well, Togekiss only gets five from Level up (Rock, Grass, Normal, Flying, and Fighting), but can get damaging attacks of all types except Poison and Ice, if you include TM and Tutor attacks.

Tyranitar makes 7 as well, as does Giratina. Dusnoir makes the 7 counting Future Sight (and its Normal attack is Bind...). Note I'm only checking 4th gen - but I doubt anything got a type of level-up move in 3rd gen but lost it in 4th.

Oh, and of course we are ignoring Unown!

If you allow TMs then doesn't Mew get every type of attack?

lol, how the fuck dusknoir learn bind anyway? how does he USE bind!? (its a question btw, also why zero theme song from megaman X2 is so awesome? it refills your life bar!)

Along with what cantab said,
Hitmonchan gets 7, Drapion gets 7, Dusknoir gets 7, Regigigas gets 7, Deoxys gets 7, Wormadam gets 7, Gliscor gets 7, Steelix gets 9, Aerodactyl gets 8. Do I win?

I keep editing

Steelix does get 9 if you count Sand Tomb from Onix.

Never would have guessed it had such a big level-up movepool. Do you have a database or something? (Ie have you checked everything, or is it still possible something gets even more?)

The caveat should be said that some 'level-up moves' require relearning using a Heart Scale and can never actually be learnt by levelling up. So they may not be so useful in-game (which is presumably why you'd want to know the level up movepool) - though Heart Scales are pretty easily obtained and infinitely replaceable, unlike some TMs and move tutors.

Awesome, but no I've just been hopping to about 100 different Pokémon pages on Bulbapedia.
