Amnesia on Torkoal...Gimmicky or Worthwhile?

My specific Torkoal has the following nature and spread...

Nature: Relaxed
IVs: 31 / 31 / 31 / 31 / 31 / 0
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpAtk

...At level 50, this Torkoal has stats of 177 / 105 / 211 / 106 / 90 / 22. One use of Amnesia would bring SpDef stat up to 180 (at level 50), with an already decent HP and phenominal Def stats.
I would say it's a gimmick. Use Torkoal as a physical wall like it's intended to be. Hypothetically, you wouldn't use Amnesia on Cloyster or Barrier on Blissey because that's not what they are intended for. In other words, use Torkoal how it's intended to be, and save the other role you want it to fulfill for some other Pokémon.
That's just my opinion though, you could always do that if you wanted, but I would prefer a mixed wall for that purpose such as Registeel

the fact it was a faster, more bulky and not weak to SR, plus the massive special movepool and the fact draco meteor coming from specs base 130 special atack massacre anything not named bliss(who get tricked) is reason enough.

Why was Latios too strong for OU? Its SpA is lower than Salamence's Atk, and surely it's stopped by Blissey?
It doesn't have to bother with Surf, as Scizor and Tyranitar both get 2HKOed by Draco Meteor alone. That means that the only safe reliable switchins are Blissey and SpD Scizor with Roost (not into Specs Surf either).

I'm making an OU team that Starmie is integral in, and speficily a Choice user, but I can't decide between Surf and Hydro Pump; which one would be more effective in general?

scarf should always run hydro pump, i would run hydro pump too on a specs set, but its really up to personal preference, if you think a miss will massacre you then surf is fine.

because it lack the power from life orb or specs, surf will be doing pathetic damage, hydro pump is there to fix that. sets that got a boosting item can afford surf.

Is there any good recommended movesets for a Dragon Dancing Crawdaunt?

I'm been thinking of this one:
Adamant w/ Life Orb
Ability: Hyper Cutter
- Waterfall
-Crunch
- Aerial Ace
- Dragon Dance

Espeon moveset

Is this a good moveset for Espeon?
Espeon @ Choice Specs
Timid nature
Moves:
-Trick
-Psychic
-Signal Beam
-Calm Mind
The EV spread would be: 252 SpA, 252 Spe, 4 SpD

a setup move and trick is counter productive with a choice item, specs and band are made so that you can atack right away with no setup and still hit hard, i would either make a pure CM set or pure 3 atacks trick set using that specs, you kinda need shadow ball.

I notice that Worry Seed seems to literally displace the Pokémon's ability with Insomnia (Unlike Magnet Rise which only figuratively gives the Pokémon Levitate).
Surely there's got to be some useful applications there.

use worry seed on slaking and watch him become imune to sleep and atack all turns, worry seed the enemy machamp and watch him miss dynamic punch all time, its useful but only in certain situations, its more useful in doubles because you can have a strategy based around that.

Apparently you can't Worry Seed a Truanter or Arceus.

In doubles you can remove Regigigas' Slow Start with it (I think), or make your ally immune to sleep, which might be nice. In singles you could Worry Seed RestTalkers to facilitate taking them down or at least making them switch out. A few other Pokemon won't like losing their ability - Breloom and Machamp spring to mind. I'm not sure if the ability stays Insomnia with a switch.

Let's say that i decide to run 3 attacks, trick and use specs like u said. What would be a better choice, Shadow Ball or Hidden Power Ground?

ah this sucks, but i know you can swap the abilitys with another move to get rid of traunt.

also, in NU it would be hp ground, outside i would pick shadow ball because of the massive amount of ghosts in UU and OU, in NU your biggest problem is skutank.

Quick question, if my friend gives me a pokemon from emerald to ruby and then I migrate it to platinum. Can someone still find my friends SID number or does it have to be directly from his game?

EDIT: to above i think it would depend? If you have a strong sweeper, then use the revenge killer to defeat whats left over. If scizor is your main source of damage, then use the life orb one. Personally I would use the choice band one because with a strong priority move you can easily take something down and switch out.

@ Az3lfMast3r - That depends. CB Scizor really shouldn't be revenge killing, You should be using U-Turn a lot early game to kepe momentum and pressure on your foe. SD Scizor is only really good for late-game cleaning when all of its checks are gone.

@ Eon - Yes.
