What move would you suggest in the 4th slot for this Milotic?

Milotic-leftovers
calm
252 HP/252 sp.atk
hydro pump
hp grass
recover
(filler)

After lengthy testing Ice Beam didn't pull it's weight. Despite standard Venusaur being a very common and obvious switch in, Ice Beam doesn't even come close to OHKOing, and it just knocks Sceptile into overgrow range. Blizzard doesn't OHKO Venusaur either (I just did calcs).

The build and existing 3 moves work wonderfully. Some options that occur to me for the 4th move,

Haze (what would it be used against often enough to justify it?)
Mirror Coat
Toxic
Icy Wind (gimmicky, but cripples jolly Venusaur/Sceptile switch ins as well as other random things)
Sleep Talk (makes Milotic a decent sleep absorber due to marvel scale)

Toxic or mirror coat is your best options.

Toxic or mirror coat is your best options.

I'd appreciate an explanation as to why those are your choices. Mirror Coat is a big risk and seems unecessary. Toxic seems adequate but HP grass is quite reliable by itself against bulky waters.

Toxic is good cripple pokes like ludicolo who pose a major threat to Milotic. Also without ice beam you may find altaria a bit of a problem. Toxic limit their stay in time. The only reason I can see for Mirror coat is for filler and because of milotic's bulk it can survive and hit back hard on pokes. If you are worried about Milotic's durability you can always slap on rest and sleep talk.

I kinda want to just use Blaze Kick on Infernape instead of Flare Blitz to be different.
Could it work, or am I being silly and sub-optimal.
Maybe Fake Out and U-Turn, too.
Close Combat for a 4th?
Hm...
I don't know why I'm being so indecisive, I usually have a good idea of what I want to use on my potential Pokémon.

I wouldn't recommend Blaze kick over Flare Blitz, they power difference is obviously but not only that Infernape can't afford a miss. U-turn works with a Nape in a SD or mixed set.

Fake out works for lead Nape but otherwise you want the extra slot free.

Actually, I like the idea of a mixed set.
Maybe like, Overheat, Grass Knot, Close Combat and U-Turn.
I like to setup Toxic Spikes with my Roserade, but I usually lose it and my grass attacks in the process.
Could be useful to pack another one.

No; calling Elm advances the frame on the main RNG, whereas egg shininess uses the IRNG. The only known way to advance the IRNG in a controlled manner on HGSS is to have eggs laid by your Pokémon; frame 11, in this case, means that you'll need to wait until the 11th egg to get your shiny. (I advise trying to use a spread with a lower frame number, to save time.)

K, thanks a bunch.

Is it possible for a Larvitar to have Dragon Dance and Pursuit as egg moves?

From what I know, you can breed a female larvitar with a male treecko or cranidos that knows Pursuit to get offspring larvitar that know pursuit. Then you can breed a female pursuite larvitar with a charmander, lapras, or tototile (male) that knows dragon dance, and the result are larvitars with both Pursuite and Dragon Dance, I hope. I'm not sure, so don't necessarily take my word as law.

EDIT: Wait, I'm wrong. The move is only passed by the father, so the female would not pass the egg move that is knows. Whoops

That set can work. Must make sure you have a Hasty nature because his Sp will suffer.

can anyone suggest if I should use a burn orb, or a toxic orb and heracross (bonus points for explaining why
Guts will activate giving you extra attack. As an added bonus, you're already burned/poisoned so they can't put you to sleep/paralyse you. AND you get to use a really, really strong Facade. And maybe fling it, but I think Heracross has better things to do than that.
Flame Orb is probably better, since Guts will negate Burn's Attack decrease anyways.

Burn will take away 1/8 HP per turn! Toxic will take away 1/16 first turn them 2/16 = 1/8 the next and so on....
If you're planning to keep Heracross for less or 2 turn on the field then Toxic Orb is the best option. Of course Heracross is an awesome sweeper who stays in for more then 2 turns so Flame Or would be the better option!

Okay so I'll just have to find a ditto with perfect HP/SDef IVs and a Chasney with perfect HP/SDef IVs then breed them intil I get a Chansey with perfect HP and SDef IVs?
Since that seems like a huge pain in the butt I'll just stick to perfect HP IVs.

So how can I get a ditto with perfect HP IVs?
They can't be bred, so unless there's some cool evil trick around it, you're gonna need a lot of pokeballs and a hell of a lot of patience.

How many Dittos should I catch intil I find one with an perfect HP IV? And how do I find out it has a 31 in it's HP IV?

(I only have FR)
Up to you how many to catch at a time. To figure out which one (if any) has a perfect HP IV, give them all different nicknames and save. Then feed one a bunch of Rare Candies and check its stats against what its stats should be for something with perfect HP IV. Reset without saving and do it all over again on the next Ditto.

You're feeding it rare candies because the higher a pokemon's level, the more accurate calculations to figure out the pokemon's IVs will be.

What's a cool Poké Ball to catch Kyogre in? I'm thinking a Dive Ball :), but perhaps one of Kurt's balls would be cooler?
Unfortunately, the game has no graphical coding for Kurt's custom pokeballs; once they catch a pokemon, they graphically turn into regular pokeballs. I don't really have much to say in the lines of a suggestion here, but Kurt's stuff really won't be cool enough for Kyogre. Kyogre needs something cooler than a plain old pokeball-lookin' thing, amirite?

I know they have banned Latias from OU now, but I asked one of the mods and they said that they would reset the OU leaderboard. Are they going to?
