But you can't choose what move your using with Sleep Talk, so it shouldn't count, in my opinion.

Rules are weird, sometimes...

You are still making an active choice, when you could choose otherwise, to take an action which could result in putting an opponent to sleep. There is a 33% chance to select Psycho Shift, and a 90% chance for it to hit, meaning a 29.7% chance to put the opponent to sleep. This is not much worse than the 37% chance to hit Gliscor @ Brightpowder with Grasswhistle with a sandstorm raging. Should that also be an exception? How low does the chance have to be?

This is totally different from established issues like where your opponent predicts a Hypnosis from Bronzong, switches in a (faster) Lum Berry Wobbuffet, Encores the Hypnosis, lets Wobbuffet go to sleep, and switches to something without a status ailment. Or when your last remaining Pokemon has Effect Spore yet your opponent chooses to attack. In these situations, you really have no choice. Putting Psycho Shift and Sleep Talk on the same Pokemon actually generates this dilemma, so it is your fault if it causes you trouble. Maybe in some tournament with special rules where you don't choose your own movesets, you might allow an exception just to keep that moveset from screwing people, but that's about it.

Are there any offensive (not something like Blissey) counters to Choice Scarf Starmie?
Depending on what the Starmie gets locked onto - T-Tar and Scizor make excellent counters, as they can pursuit when Starmie gets locked into an unfavourable move.

If I get 3 Swords Dances with a Leafeon and Baton Pass to a Bibarel, is it +12 attack, or just +6 (the usual maximum).

I know you can have any PID/SID/Trainer ID combination as well as have perfect IVs for a shiny pokemon hatched from an egg. However, is this possible for the dragon trio that hatched from the eggs for the TRU Arceus event? I was just curious since they are hatched from the egg and all lol

Actually its the third most used pokemon in OU. Why? I switch in gengar on A scarfgon EQ. I use Substitute as you switch in tyranitar. I KO you with focus blast. Just because a pokemon has a counter doesnt mean its not good. I may ask, why is tyranitar still OU, I just send in My dugtrio and rape him.

Why is Gengar still OU? He sucks. I just send in Tyranitar and rape him.

Timid 252 SpA Gengar's Life Orb Focus Blast against 252 HP Tyranitar in Sandstorm - 113-134%
Timid 252 SpA Gengar's unboosted Focus Blast against 252 HP Tyranitar in Sandstorm - 87-103%

No, you don't switch Tyranitar in and rape Gengar. Unless Gengar misses Focus Blast twice, or Tyranitar has a Choice Scarf, your Tyranitar won't be raping anything for a while.

Adamant 252 Atk Tyranitar's unboosted Pursuit against remaining 0 HP Gengar - 85-101%

That calculation shows that if Tyranitar thinks that it can scare Gengar away and kill it with Pursuit, Gengar could survive it and take Tyranitar out. And if all of that didn't convince you...

Timid 252 SpA Gengar's unboosted HP Fighting against 252 HP Tyranitar in Sandstorm - 50-60%

Hidden Power Fighting Gengar wins.

I may ask, why is tyranitar still OU, I just send in My dugtrio and rape him.

Since when can Dugtrio 1HKO Tyranitar..? Tyranitar survives an Earthquake and takes Dugtrio out with Crunch easily.

This isn't a discussion thread. You asked a question, you got an answer. Stop refuting every point because you have a different opinion. Tyranitar shuts down a lot of Pokemon (including the now Uber Latias), that does not make them worthless. Blissey shuts down even more.

EDIT:
But you can't choose what move your using with Sleep Talk, so it shouldn't count, in my opinion.

You don't choose if Hypnosis hits a second time or not either, but if it does you broke the clause and forfeit the win.

No, its used because ghost/fighting has perfect nuetral coverage. Again, i could say pursuit sucks and its only used because of ghost and psychic types.
