My question:
Can abilities change through migration or not? I've seen people posting about Magic Guard Clefable with elemental punches, yet other people saying that elemental punch + Scrappy on Miltank is impossible. What's the logic?

Pal Park abilities are screwy when evolution happens (Rock Head can turn into Lightning Rod instead of Solid Rock on Rhyperior, for example). They stay the same if they don't evolve, like Miltank.
 
Oh so if the Pokemon evolves its ability can change? Even if the Pokemon's ability would normally stay the same?
Is it set in stone what the ability is going to change to or if it's going to change, or can you sve before evolving, evolve, and if you don't like the ability, soft reset? Obviously this wouldn't work with trade evolutions either way, though.

After getting that and the Veilstone massage, I just bike along the "egg hatching route" while going on the internet or something for awhile with it in my party with the Soothe Bell.

I have to get this off of my chest. How important are a pokemon's IVs in determining its stats, really? Like what's the difference between a statistic with 0 IV and one with 31 IV?
 
Ok Thanks for the help guys. Lol i was so hoping that the guy in the house at route 21 didnt give you focus sash. 3 days a long time.

31 points. Each point in an IV is....a number that ends up showing how far your Pokemon would be from its max.

Although through some calculations, 25 or so only makes a 1% difference in the final outcome of the total damamge.

Speed is really important though, so you almost always want that to be perfect.

6. Do you like Bunny Rabbits? No. By the way, Lopunny (the rabbit of fail) is based on a Playboy bunny, according to Bulbapedia.

Speed is of utmost importance. This is a good guideline to follow.
Let's see how much difference other stuff makes.
I calculated the damage done by max atk EV +atk nature garchomp with both 31 and 0 IVs on a 300 def/404 HP swampert. Here are the results.
31 IVs: 394 attack vs 300 defense, 100 power(*1.5), 404 max HP: 35.15% - 41.58%
0 IVs: 360 attack vs 300 defense, 100 power(*1.5), 404 max HP: 32.18% - 37.87%

This is a pretty considerable amount of difference (might even be the difference between 3HKO and 4HKO). This of course will will be a much larger difference once something weak to your attack comes in. Therefore IVs(decent ones if not perfect ones) are pretty important.
 
What are the requirements to get the Colloseum Leaders' outfits in PBR? Shiny outfits?

Better yet, is there a link for the ways to get the outfits?
 
Q: My friend want to know which would more helpful to Starmie, Rapid Spin or Recover? The others move on this Starmie is Psychic,Ice Beam, and Thunderbolt. Since she doesn't have a set team where this pokemon if going to be I'n not sure what to tell her.

It's kinda complicated if you get into chaining and that kind of stuff, but it's relatively simple for finding just one Pokemon. First, if it's not charged, you have to walk around for 50 steps to charge it. Then, you walk into any grass patch and use it (as long as you're not on your bike). Now, sometimes you'll get unlucky and it'll say "The grassy patch remained quiet" or something to that extent, and if that happens, then just run around and try again once it's recharged. If you're not unlucky, some grass patches will shake. If it shines yellow, that means it's a "rare" Pokemon on that route, or a Pokeradar exclusive Pokemon in there. If it shakes and stays green, it's just a normal Pokemon. If it shines whitish, then it's a shiny Pokemon in the grass.

Chaining is where it gets complex. First, you have to start a chain by running into the Pokemon you want using it. Once you've done that, then either catch it, or knock it out. After this, the Pokeradar will show new grass patches that you can run into and find a Pokemon. However, you can still find Pokemon in the grass normally, so if you're making a chain, it's highly recommended that you use a Repel. Your chain will keep going as long as you keep running into the same species of Pokemon, don't step out of the grass patch, and don't run into the "corner" spots of the grass. There's a video on Youtube that explains it better than I do.

If she ends up having a major Stealth Rock weakness, and no other Pokemon to Rapid Spin, that would be better. If there's no Wish support or anything like that, then Recover might be better. Personally, I think Specs Starmie with Grass Knot over either of those is better.
 
Hey guys, I'm really new to breeding but I seem to have spontaneous moments of spectacular luck. Anywho, I've recently been breeding DD Bagons and DD Larvitars and came up with a couple of good Bagons and Larvitars that I think I should keep. They are:

So, which ones should I keep guys?

After beating Mysterio for the first time at Stargazer, go to a Colosseum where the leader has a Pokemon outfit. Challenge the Colosseum, only this time with the level 50 all rule instead of the level 30+ option. After beating them, you will get their outfit.

As for shiny costumes, it's currently unknown. Chances are it's all up to luck.

Can you still do Level 50 all rule with those that aren't Lv 50, ie an Azelf Lv 55?

Erm, I mean, have them Leveled Down if they're too high.
