Serebii says the gender ratio for misdreavus is 50/50, I've hatched about 20 of the critters now and they've all been female. Is there something I don't know, am I very unlucky, or is Serebii wrong?
 
If PKMN A used Sucker Punch and PKMN B used (i.e.) Ice Shard, would Sucker Punch have a speed priority Higher than Ice Shard?

OR would the Speed STAT of both PKMN determine what move gets used first?

The gender, trait, and nature of a Pokemon in Emerald\DP is set when the egg is created - that is, when you see the man standing outside with the egg. So if you're saving before you take the egg and restarting when it isn't one you want, they will all be the same gender.

Since both have the priority of +1, it will depend on the speed stat.
 
MU stands for "Moderatly Used" but it isn't achknowlaged or credited by most of the competetitave community as an actual tier.
 
In PBR, I sometimes see people with nicknamed pokemon online. As far as I know, the nicknames aren't supposed to appear, so how do they do it? Is there a particular way or is it just random?

Protect defends against a lot of direct attacks on the user, regardless of whether they do damage or not. This includes status effects like Hypnosis, and I believe Trick as well. Protect does not protect against Curse, though.
 
I have a question how come I'm experiencing difficulties trading over wifi. When I try to apply I get an error saying I've been disconnected from the NWFC. When I let others apply It says (------ wants to play with you) then suddenly it says (------ failed to respond) please help

Synchronizing a nature works if you have a Pokemon with Synchronize, of the nature you want, in the first place of your party. Correct? Does this work if that Pokemon is in the first seat of your party BUT it's knocked out? Does it still Synchronize the nature? Thanks in advance.

A fainted Synchronize Pokemon at the head of your party DOES still have the Synchronize effects.

Good Tip: Have a fainted synchronize Pokemon at the head of your team when using PokeRadar to get a Shiny Pokemon. Having a 50% chance of getting a Shiny with a good nature is important to consider, especially if you plan on using it competitively.
 
I'm still working up on getting that Modest Octillery with good IV's. Now that I know fainted Sync. works, I can save a lot of time that I used for switching and false swiping. Thanks.
 
Is the only Tri-Attack Togetic you can get from XD? (Even if you breed it in D/P).

Also, if you get a pokemon with Protect and Detect will they fail when used in tandem?

Protect, Detect and Endure work off the same counter so if you use Protect then Detect it will be the same as using Protect twice (so you'll have a 50% chance of it failing)
 
if something has a toxic/flame orb equipped, does that mean they will be immune to all status's?

eg. heracross with flame orb, breloom with toxic orb etc.

Yeah, but remember the orb's status kicks in at the end of the turn. So if you get sleep'd during the turn, you have to wait for the sleep to wear off before the orb burns you.
 
i see so its only useful if you are faster than the status user?

so flame/toxic orb will not activate while you are asleep?
 
You mean Rampardos, by any chance? You could try a Choice Scarf, but even then you'll struggle to outspeed anything. Baton Passing speed is pretty unreliable, especially as you're bound to take a hit when you BP them in.

The best bet, then, would be to use a Trick Room team.

More like Octillery. It's move pool is just amazing, and I'm satisfied with its Base Special Attack, but its base Speed is pathetic. Not to mention, I like the Pokemon a lot in general so I'm trying to find a way to make it useful and make it work. I'm trying to bring it's speed up to its max by EV training it, but even then it'll only top 200 Speed. If I scarf it I think it'll go up to 300? If I'm correct. That should be good enough to outspeed some Pokemon.
