I doubt it is, but from competetive play, is Perish Song banned? I'm aware that OHKO's are, so I am double checking.

idont think so this is what surgo put for the battle me thread

Note that what I listed as "accepted rules" does not have DT/OHKO clauses. This is because banning them by default and then forcing everyone who uses the moves to say "DT or OHKO allowed" gives away far more information about your team than doing it the other way around does. So, basically, just say so if you don't want Double Team or OHKO!

Here's an example:
Someone want to battle? Friend code is underneath my avatar, regular 6 on 6 OU, no Double Team or OHKO moves.

OK, cool.
I have a pair of questions regarding game mechanics. First of all, can Metronome select Focus Punch, and if it can, does it come out immediatly, or does it have a negative priority modifier as it does normally? And second, does Pressure work on healing/setup moves or only ones directed at the Pressure pokemon?

Pressure only works on attacks directed at the opponent. So moves like recover, protect, substitute all have their PP used normally.

got this out of research thread so i think setup moves dont i read somewhere also that i thought said it doesnt
[ABILITY]
Pressure
[SHORT DESC]
Attacks lose double PP.
[LONG DESC]
Moves that affect this Pokemon lose 2 PP per use instead of 1.

and focus punch cant be selected by metronome

Do Stealth Rock and Spikes stack? (maybe Toxic Spikes too?)

And where is the guy who takes Heart Scale and teaches you a forgotten move? (or not a heart scale)

yeaa they all stack on each other, and the guy is in the city where the safari marsh is i think pastoria is what its called hes in the house by the water in the town

So 1 stealth rock equals 3 spikes? and all of them combined is 50%??

EDIT:
25% from stealth rock, 25 from 3 spikes? sry for double post

Hey. I've got a few newbie questions that I hope you guys don't mind helping me out with.

I've read through the analysis of Hipmontop, Jumpluff and Typhlosion and have a good idea how I should use them. But really, can I stand a chance in standard OU play with these guys? If not...

... Is there a definitive tier list? I've found a few of them, but would like to know what is the one commonly accepted on shoddy. It would be stupid for me to request a UU battle and have a few OUs on my team.

How can an Arena Trap Dugtrio beat Blissey? Is there a certain set-up I should use? I have a huge problem with Blissey.

Do Sunny Day teams, in general, work? How about one-type teams (double types included)?

yeaa but some types resist it though and some are super effective, like stealth rock does 50% to flying and you didnt double post you edited

EDIT: got beat

Stealth Rock and Spikes are seperate. Against neutral pokemon, Stealth Rock will do 12%. 3 layers of Spikes will do 25%. So against a neutral pokemon switching in, you will do 38% damage immediatly.

Oh.. Stealth Rock is a different concept than spikes. But I want to make sure if Stealth Rock and Spikes stack? And does Toxic Spikes stack with them too( I'm guessing you can stack these 3 times? Not sure how this move works)?

EDIT : sorry stealth rock and spikes do stack, didn't see that when I was posting this

they could if used with some good walls like blissey and chansey ive read a couple warstories with typhlosion and jumpluff used in standard play

check the sticky at the beggining of stark mountain it says what are consirdired uber and overuse right now

if blissey doesnt have ice beam then it can be switched in and earthquake it since blissey def sucks and the blissey cant switch out

one types usually dont work unless you use dual types and not all mono teams work as good as others but sunny day and rain dance teams can work pretty well if you have good coverage(double types included)?
i hope that helped

Yes. All three have certain things that they can do in standard play that work very effectivly. A choice scarf Typhlosion can terrorize any team once their special wall is gone. Jumpluff has a special place in my heart for being a great BP Team lead, and Hipmontop is a very overlooked Rapid Spinner.

I think there is, try searching for topics created by "Dragontamer"

You switch in on TWave, and 2HKO most of the time with EQ. Note this is max attack, Adamant, with a Choice Band.

Wheather changing team's can work well if you build them right, though anything besides Hail and Sandstorm is hard right now since there aren't any Drizzle/Drought pokemon in OU. Keep in mind though, the main counters to Wheather teams are other wheather teams.

does Toxic Spikes stack with Stealth Rock + Spikes?( I'm guessing you can stack these 3 times or just once like Stealth Rock? Not sure how this move works)
