I'm trying to design a team based around Infernape, so Salamence and Cresselia would own me for sure. I could probably use Stealth Rock or something to help wear down Salamence, but Cresselia is another problem altogether. I figured I'd use Weavile w/ Pursuit to slay Cress. After reading the wall-breaking article, though Tyranitar is sounding like a good idea, too; Weavile's very frail. On the other hand, Tyranitar's Sandstream might hurt my team a bit, especially if Infernape's getting boosts that drain its life (Life Orb).

My question is: which Pokemon makes a better psuedo-trapper: Weavile or Tyranitar?

For your team, I'd go with Weavile. The residual damage you'd be taking from Life Orb and Sand Storm with Infernape would add up to be too much. Weavile can still own shit really hard, so just use him.

Well, on a Pokémon like Purugly, I'd go for 31/31/20+/x/20+/31. Most people won't accept anything less than three flawless, so those should be in attack, HP and speed. Thats all you can really aim for right now.

If a Pokemon can have 2 different abilities (ex. Togepi- Hustle and Serene Grace) will the evolutions always have the same as the pre-evos, as long as they are the same throughout the whole chain? So, if my Togepi has Hustle as a Togepi, it will have Hustle as a Togekiss, correct?
 
Yes.

Unless togepi has hustle in 3rd gen. When you transfer to d/p it has a 50% chance of changing to serene grace or to remain with hustle through evolution.

Do certain characteristics take 'preference' over others?
For example, Alert to Sounds=31 in Speed and Likes to Thrash About=31 in Attack. Will a Pokemon with 31 in Speed and Attack always have Alert to Sounds, Likes to Thrash About, or is it random?

I've been wondering this for a while, but I think the answer is no. I'm not certain, but I think I have a Pokémon with the only two 31's being in Attack and Speed, yet the two have different characteristics. Don't quote me on that however. I'm just babbling off memory..

Characteristics always reflect the highest IV a pokemon has, but the order is random. Say I have a 31/ x/ x/ x/ x/ 31 pokemon. It won't always have Often Dozes Off. The order of characteristics is therefore random.

Dude... Wtf? Something is wrong with my internet connection to the metalkid server, so when it tries to load the damage calcultaion it comes up as "Unable to Find Page" or something like that. There was no reason to snap like that man... I'm just trying to get some help since my computer isn't allowing me to do it. Don't need to be a jerk about it.
 
There are some male only pokemon taht can learn egg moves. That is the hitmons and nidoking/volbeat.

Hitmons learn egg moves from themselves and dittos. The other two get egg moves from breeding male with egg moves with nidoranF and illumise respectively.

No other male gets egg moves from what i can remember.
 
Salamance and Rayquaza both learn Fly as a level-up move, in a game where Fly is an HM. Are there any other Pokemon that learn HMs as level-up moves, where the moves themselves are HMs in?
 
if an infernape kills my blissey and then in the same turn the sandstorm kills it who win????????? o.o i know its a draw but the guy with the infernape says he is the winner, both pokes were the last ones of both trainers

I never said that i didn't want to help you, i was just telling you what you were doing wrong. And that theory you made, doesn't it make since with what your saying in the bold? I never called names and you have.

If you consider the Get off your butt comment " calling names" dont, becuase it was more motivation then name calling.

Unless you had agreed on "No self KO clause" and the opponent then explodes then the Infernape user is the victor, as as soon as all of one persons Pokemon are dead technicly the match is over, the sandstorm / recoil from life orb etc never happens. That's how it works on Shoddy ladder matches.
