Is it possible for one parent to pass all of its IVs...?

This means that the baby will always inherit between 1 and 6 IVs from the parents. The chances are as follows:

1 IV: 2.44% chance
2 IVs: 34.41% chance
3 IVs: 53.01% chance
4 IVs: 9.55% chance
5 IVs: 0.58% chance
6 IVs: 0.01% chance

From Breeding Guide. There is a very small chance it gets 6 IVs, so in theory you could get the same IVs as a Parent.

EDIT: Breeding Guide Part 1 Andren :P

oh man, so i been breeding fucking cleffas in emerald for a month already, and today i finally got one that gets magic guard when evolved into clefairy in my pearl,i wanna trade it to my fire red and teach it softboiled/seismic toss.
now my question is will this cleffa always have magic guard when evolved into clefairy 100% of the time?

and while im at it, i need to know is there anybody with a elemental punching mankey/primeape on this site?

cause if not then im going back to breeding in emerald.

@Andren and Josh-u-a: I always thought that was a confusingly written part of the breeding guide, but anyways it is my understanding that you cannot pass down 6 iv's. 1 parent will pass down 1 iv, the other will pass down 2 iv's. Maybe some of those will overlap, but in any case, a max of 3 iv's passed. What the guide is referring to is the chance that the offspring will have 6 of one iv, whether it comes from the parents or randomly. As an example, pretend you have a parent with an iv of 31 in speed and something other than 31 in every other stat. Let's say you breed it with a parent who has something other than 31 in every stat and one of the offspring has 31 in speed. Now, you may conclude that the 31 came from the first parent, which would be a reasonable supposition. But it is also possible that the first parent passed along another stat, say attack, and the 31 speed is just a random fluke. The important part is that you cannot tell the difference between these two scenarios. So if the iv of the offspring is the same as the iv of one of the parents, we say it has passed even if we don't know if this is true. This becomes important when we deal with "passing" more than 3 iv's from parents. Say that both parents have 31's in hp, attack, defense and special attack, and the offspring has 31's in hp, attack, defense and special attack. We know that it is impossible that the offspring actually inherited four iv's from its parents. However, we can casually refer to it as 4 stats inherited because that is indistinguishable from what actually happened. So when the breeding guide says 6 stats inherited, it really means 6 stats match the parents, of which at least 3 of those are random. This explains why there is such a precipitous drop from inheriting three iv's to four.

Can someone help me come up with the EV's and nature required to survive a Draco Meteor from a Specsmence, and OHKO with Ice Beam on Porygon 2?

You cloned the Cleffa and it evolved the clone in Pearl, right? If it evolves into Magic Guard the first time, it will always evolve into Magic Guard. At least, that's what my friend told me.

In other words, if it became Magic Guard, it will always become Magic Guard 100% of the time.

yup thats what i did traded clones of 6 different cleffa's and evolved them and 1 of them got magicguard.

oh so fucking sweet! cant wait for 24 hours to pass so i can migrate again, and start training my new magic guard mini bliss clefable.

thanks,Bakuhatsu-g.l.

If it has Magic Guard once, it will always have Magic Guard. That holds true for any and all clones of it you ever create, as well.

Either I've gone blind, or the Search button is missing.

I'm looking for a thread written a while back about the potential tier spreads for "Baby Cup" tournaments determined by base stats and first-stage movepools. (i.e. Scyther = Uber Baby, Burmy = NU Baby.)

Is there a way to get rid of unwanted Ivs?? so if the ev spread was 30/30/30/30/4/2...could you decrease the attack Iv by one or two??

@Quaziz: Erm, what? I think you are confusing iv's and ev's. Iv's are set as soon as you catch or hatch the pokemon and come in the range 0-31. Ev's range from 0-255 in a single stat and 510 overall. They can be increased by battling specific pokemon. They can be decreased by feeding your pokemon special berries. If you need a more detailed explanation, look at some of the guides in the resource thread, or another guide I found helpful was http://www.gamefaqs.com/portable/ds/file/925601/48500.

Also, can someone verify my response earlier this page? I'm not too confident that I'm right, it would be nice to know for sure.

Does anyone have a link to a sprite resource (like PokémonElite2000) with the Pokémon Egg's and Arceus's sprites? And I do not want the Normal Arceus's sprite, I want ALL of them.
