Is there any way to check the SE coverage of a type combination? I could do it manually, but will miss dual types eventually.

This thread might help you a bit.

As for the most effective Gliscor set, that depends on how your team is and all. It's hard to say what set is the most effective since that differs from team to team. Look at your team up to now and then look at a set of Gliscor.
Then ask yourself: "Does this set increase the efficiency of my team?"
Or just try them all out, then you should get the one you need eventually.

Ok :3 i think ive narrowed it down: i do have ferrothorn, so i dont think i need a defensive set. Now im deciding between substitute and sword dance.... My team is more or less balanced on defensive and offensive, and i noticed gliscor fits really well, but idk wich set to use..... Annoyer or wallbreaker.... Hm.....

why is the smogon server missing on PO all of a sudden? is there a new battle server?

Edit: found it

So I'm back, and I've figured out that I want to use this Venusaur:

Venusaur @ Life Orb
Modest
4HP/252SpA/252Spe
-Growth
-Energy Ball
-HP Fire
-Sleep Powder

and this Ninetales:

Ninetales @ Air Balloon
Timid
252HP/92SpD/164Spe
-Flamethrower
-Will-O-Wisp/Toxic (haven't decided yet)
-Substitute
-HP Fighting?

Now, the way my brain works, I'd be wanting a physical wall. Preferably one capable of using the sun to it's advantage. Suggestions? I also need ideas for the other half of my team lol. Keep in mind this is 3v3.

Ok, this may be a stupid question, but I need to know: How do you "hide" things in posts?????
quote me to see.

Any given Pokemon can have 31 IV's in any number of stats, including all or none of them. In-game, people generally either use hacking (for unofficial Wi-Fi play) or RNG abuse (for VGC's, Random Matchup and other official stuff) to get flawless Pokemon, and it is pretty much assumed that all Pokemon have 31 in every stat (or 30 in some for Hidden Powers) in competitive play. You can get the legal gen 1-4 Pokemon through either the dream world, for some (breed them if you don't want the DW ability), or through trading with others (check the Wifi Forum).
Some legendaries can only have 31 IVs in a maximum of 5 stats and some limitation on the 6th stat. I'm not sure about the details or why, but I'm guessing that's what he's referring to.

As i said i am completely new to competitive pokemon, so if anything i said was misinformed or you have any tips or links for a new player please let me know :D.

First of all, welcome to Smogon! I thought I point you to something VERY useful to have if you want to play competitively. It's called Pokemon Online, and it's a battle simulator that allows you to battle people online, which is much easier than trying to find wifi battles. It also is much easier to make teams with it, as you just push a few buttons to make the Pokemon you want as opposed to spending hours RNGing, EV training, leveling, etc.

You can find it here. You can find instructions on the site.

balddemon, obviously Tangrowth comes to mind however it's more of a tank than a wall. Gliscor might enjoy Water neutrality. You can use Mew if others don't suit you, Mew also gains "STAB" on Fire Blast/Flamethrower in the sun. Porygon2 is great physical wall but it doesn't care about sun.

Obvious question is obvious and I should have looked through this thread before asking but: How do you view competitor/trainer rankings on the PO server, or any server, I've been playing around with my own Excadrill team (before banning) and someone's rain stall team but I can't see how far I'm off the starting line, can anyone help me

In the type box at the chat, type /ranking, press enter and then you should see your ranking in the chat.

Are there any (viable) pokemon in NU that resist Fighting and Electric?
Scanning a list of NUs, the potentially viable ones I noticed that resist those two types are Amoonguss, Exeggutor, Leavanny, Parasect, and Vileplume. I don't know enough about NU or any of those Pokemon to say whether or not any of them actually are viable; I've heard good things about all of them except Vileplume in higher tiers, but Amoonguss was the only one that didn't seem to require permanent weather support to be effective. So he's probably your best starting place.

I'm a bit confused at the moment, Dugtrio is stated as an NU pokemon but the September pokemon stats say:

| 53 | Dugtrio | 12331 | 3.092% |

Wouldn't this meant at Dugtrio is UU then?

The tiers update probably happened before the stats where shown, so it will change with the following one, I think.

Tiers don't go by an arbitrary top 53, a common misconception.

Instead, they go by the equally arbitrary 3.4% usage, which puts Duggy pretty firmly in NU.
