Base Stats of New Pokemon

I'm stoked to see Ononokusu with decent stats. 97 Speed is actually pretty great (Faster than Gliscor!) considering its Attack stat is nearly the same as Metwo's Sp. Atk. I really expected it to have much worse stats considering it's got fucking MOLD BREAKER AND RIVALRY (People had better stop using all males...haha.) With 147 base attack and Rivalry active...>_O

^Mold breaker is great and all, but it really is only useful to hit levitators with Earthquake and such. Steels will still be resisting Dragon, its main issue. At least Fire Attacks will hit Heatran neutrally.

Bronzong dude. He just sent one potential counter out the window.

If Bronzong is even relevant this time around. Mold Breaker is good, but that's really the only pokemon I can think of right now that is affected too badly.

That, and we don't have much info of other pokemon when it comes to moves, abilities, or if they got any stat boosts / decreases (unlikely).

I think the dragon will be fine, I hope at least.

With 0 EVs in Speed and Sandstorm up, Doryuuzu hits 420 speed while still hitting over 400 attack and HP with max EVs in those stats.

That is, assuming serebii's correct in saying sand throw doubles speed, rather than it being a single boost.

^If that's the case, I'd aim for 450 speed in Sand (about 60 Spe EVs) to outrun +1 Flygon/Celebi/etc, Max attack, and throw the rest in HP or defenses.

About Mamanbou: 534 HP + 197 Def + 207 SpD (+SpD nature, 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD) is incredibly bulky, honestly some of you have no idea what you're talking about. Its Special Defense tier is 121.845, which is about the same as Metagross (a +SpD nature 252 HP / 252 SpD ). Its Physical Defense tier is 121.326, slightly higher than that of a +Def 252 HP / 252 Def Relicanth. We know it has access to Wish, which means it can also function as the Blissey of Defense. If you invest in it, you get 534 HP + 284 Def, its defense tier is 125.164, higher than that of Regirock. I might have done these calculations wrong, but I've done them before with success. It is probably more beneficial to run 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD, but alas I was too lazy.

Anyone disappointed by the Afrobull's stats? 95/95/95 defenses are great, but the 55 Speed is a letdown, as is the unspectacular base 100 attack. Here's hoping Herbivore makes it useful...

fuck 5th gen Ononokusu and Doryuuzu are fucking broken. 1/4 of these should be uber. Competetive Battling just went out the window. I wonder how VGC 2011 is going to work...?

Please give Bug/Fire guy Magic Guard instead of crappy Flame Body... :|

135 SpAtk, 100 Spe and STAB on Fire Blast and Bug Buzz will be damn awesome if you can keep SR off of the field (or if it gets nerfed... Please?).

Obliatory "Ononokusu will be broken" comment here. Give him Agility instead of SD or DD and he should be able to stay in OU rather than be kicked to Ubers.

One last thing, why on earth does Shanderaa not get levitate?!? He is like, a chandelier. So he like, hangs from the roof. Why oh why.

It's special defense is too horrible to be a viable hydrator. Defense 80 also isn't winning any awards.

Than again, Vaporeon has less HP and Defense, and he's fine.

Onokusu with DD would be Uber IMO. 147 Attack and 97 speed....

The New Rotom-Forme change is cool. We can have a Bulky Electric/Water or Electric/Grass now.

Reshiram, Zekrom, and Meloia(Normal/Psychic) have 90 Base Speed, Kyuremo(The Dragon/Ice) has 95 Speed, Sazando(600 BST Dark/Dragon) has 98 and Insekuta(The Bug/Steel) has 99. Seems like All the potential Ubers have under 100 speed.

A little slow, but really bulky, and it's Overheat will be able to OHKo a heck of a lot of stuff

Fire/Psychic
HP: 105
Atk: 30
Def: 105
SpA: 140
SpD: 105
Spe: 55

Kindly blame any errors on GameFAQs.

GameFAQs must be wrong about something... I find it fairly ridiculous that most Pokemon evolve for their first and only time around level 35... and these Pokemon too! These levels are somewhat ridiculous to evolve when they do!

If GameFAQs wasn't wrong... what was Gamefreak thinking??

#596 Dechura: 70/77/60/97/60/108. Awww, it's a glass cannon. I was so excited with firing off 91% acc Thunder everywhere.

#571 Zoroark: 60/105/60/120/60/105. Illusion makes it interesting. Remind me, what does Illusion do again? (IIRC it transform Zoroark into the 2nd pokemon in your party? So it's basically a free subsitute?)

#550 Basaro: 70/92/65/80/55/98. Qwilfish. 360 BP Hydro Pump (in the rain) will hurt, although I think his base stats will make hum UU/BL.

How strange...

The Tsutaaja family's stats are so boring except its speed. And The Pokabu family's reaping benefits in Attack.

Looks like Trick Room may be viable this gen...

Unlike most pre-gen V pokes, it seems. Still, I'm glad Baibanira has 110 SPA with which to fire off Vanilla-flavoured Ice Beams.
