Does level 50 Chansey benefit more from a 252 HP / 252 Def spread or a 252 Def / 252 SpD one? Leaning towards the former but might as well ask for other people's opinions
edit: Also, best hatching spot for Chansey? n_n
Is it for singles or doubles? I would anyway go for the defensive spread i think, chansey with eviolite is already so bulky on the special side and most of the pokemon in the metagame is physical.
For hatching places you can go to the continuous loop at the battle resort, you can check youtube for how to do it, but you are able to infinitely make circles without bumping into things, so if you can manage a tiny piece of paper beneath your control-stick you dont have to do anything but wait. Btw, make sure you have a magcargo or anything else with the ability magma armor in your party while hatching cause it halves the amount of hatchingsteps.
Also, I was referring to custom hatching spots (if that ever makes sense) when I edited the post. It's quite a nice touch to have on bred 'mons. The most straightforward example would be an Azumarill hatched on Azure Bay due to how well that combination goes. It's completely aesthetic though so nvm it
Thanks btw!
Ok! Wow you are right, and because of chanseys high hp stat investing in defense or special defense stats is more efficient is it not?I'd go 252 def/sdef because Chansey is still a primarily a special wall and some things like Thundurus or Volcarona can be extremely deadly with their setups, enough to pass your regular SDef.
Few notes:
+3 Volcarona Fire Blast does ~41%-49% to 0/252, and ~48%-56% to 252/0
+2 NP Thund Focus Blast does the same. Not with Life Orb though that'll destroy chansey regardless of Special bulk.
252/0 hp/def Gives: ~10% more physical bulk, and ~14% less special bulk compared to 252/252 def/sdef.
Both are viable but I think 252 defenses is better.
Hi all, I've soft reset a few legends and want ideas on good ev spreads for BS.
Adamant Entei
Impish Uxie
Naive Cobalion
These guys have flawless stats. Any suggestions?
Hello all, this marks my first post on battle spot! Anyways, from what I've seen, it's a common strategy to use two megas on a team in singles. My question is: how do you decide what two to use? How to they both fit on to one team?
So I have a "should I keep or reset question""
Ive been resetting for Landorus for about 3 days now. This is the best one I got but the attack stat worries me:
Adamant Nature
HP:31
Att:28-29
Def:31
Spa:who cares
SpD:30 (thought it was perfect, but alas it was not)
Speed:31
So obviously I would rather the attack be switched with any of the other stats but Speed or SPA but my question is, will this miss out on any important KO's with full investment?
Thats a difficult question, i only run one mega myself, but i think that your team needs to be prepared for the most threats, a good thing to do is make 4/6 or 5/6 of a team , test it out, and see what pokemon you have problems with then pick a check or counter to those pokemon (or certain moves, or sets) to make your team complete. And I think you only need two megas if the best check or counter for those pokemon is another mega. The problem with two megas is that you cant use them both at once, (unless your pokemon functions also well without being mega, but i dont see that happening really soon)Hello all, this marks my first post on battle spot! Hi, I'm pretty new to Battle Spot and I've never posted here. I haven't decided yet a full team, so I think this thread is more appropriate than the Team Building one.
I'd like to run a Choice Scarf Hydreigon, but I'm not sure about the EVs. Should I give it max Speed or, since it's scarfed, can I give it less Speed in favour of some HP? What do I need to absolutely outspeed? I know that maybe this depends on what the other team members are, but for now I'm pretty sure only about Mega Scizor, Mega Gallade and Sylveon, so (considering Hydreigon as part of the team) I've got two other Pokémons that I can choose to cover what Hydreigon misses.
Hoping that this is the right thread, thank you in advance!
EDIT: I forgot to say it, but I'm talking about Singles!
Quick question for you guys who use legendaries (the useable ones i.e. Landorus, Zapdos, etc) do you guys go for flawless IVs 31/31/31X/31/31 etc or settle for "good enough?" I soft reset for awhile a week or so ago and got a 31/31/27/X/31/31 Landorus and recently spent like 45-50 hours trying to get a HP Ice Raikou. I ended settling with a 29/4/26/31/31/31 spread (to be fair I tossed a flawless 31/X/31/31/31/31 prior to that in the week going for HP Ice) I read some article on Nugget Bridge about the importance of "Flawless or Bust." Just curious if you guys actually soft reset to get all those flawless ones or settle for the "good enough?"
Hey guys this is my aegislash and im having trouble with finding wich set works best for me.
Aegislash @ Leftovers
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Sacred Sword / Iron head
- Swords Dance
- Shadow Sneak
- King's Shield
I know most of you think special / mixed sets are better, but i want mine to stay pure physical. I am swapping iron head and sacred sword constantly and i came to the conclusion i actually want both. Is it a good idea to get rid of swords dance to have more coverage and to switch the leftovers for a weakness policy? That way it often gets the boost of swords dance without using a move and i can pick the strong stab iron head or choose the interesting sacred sword with its usefull ability to negate opponents boosts (almost like the unaware ability actually).
-sorry for being impatient but i didnt get reactions in the rmt-topic so im asking the same in this topic-
Does anybody have a spare unaware clefable (with (near)perfect iv's) left for me?
