In the forests of Kalos, one spectacular tree rises above all others. Its leaves change with the season, but in unnatural shades: blue to violet to pink to silver. Scores of Pokemon reside in its branches and far more pass by to bask in the energy it radiates. The mythology of the land holds that an ancient god of creation resides within.
Every few years, a set of champions comes to the tree to do ritualistic battle. The victor is pronounced Protector of Creation and is in charge of guarding the forest until the next tournament. One such contest is now approaching. Nine with gather at the tree of creation. Will you be among them?
Nine trainers, one Pokemon each. All Pokemon must either be fairy type upon entry or be holding a mega stone and automatically evolve. Fairy-types that lose fairy-typing in mega-evolution are prohibited. Only Pokemon that are currently fully evolved or have been fully evolved in a previous generation may enter.
Full arena mechanics are subject to change as the match progresses. For now, the following have been revealed:
-Multi-target moves can only target a single species and will target every member of the species ordered. I.E. Earthquake could be ordered to hit all Mawiles or Gardevoirs, and it would strike all of them. If there was only one it would strike as a single-target move.
