I'm not too necessarily keen on Pit's Final Smash.
It seems like it's too spread of an attack.
Does it home in on opponents, or do they zoom through the screen like Unowns? Does it do enough damage to merit its worth? (AKA, I don't want to play in a 4-player match in which my three enemies only take 20 - 30 damage each.
Mario's and Samus's Final Smashes were great because it DOES look like it does a lot of damage and it looks like the attack will have a lot of knockback. (AKA, the ratio of how far you fly off the screen relating to how much damage you have)
Getting hit multiple times by small arrows and then getting tackled by an enemy doesn't seem like it has a ton of knockback. Especially in the moments where one requires a lot of damage to be centered around one opponent to get an easy KO, instead of getting all the opponents equally damaged at which point they still have enough time to KO eachother, missing your kill.
Also, lots of people don't know this but Metroid and Kid Icarus were released on the same day and ran on the same gameplay engine. Metroid happened to sell better and therefore got several sequels. If Kid Icarus had sold better, then today we may just be waiting for Kid Icarus Prime 3: Corruption.
Oh, and I'm severely hating the non-canon Eruption attack on Ike. He never had such a move and neither did any FE character. It would seem that this attack is a hint that Roy may be removed from SSBB and replaced with Ike.
For one, FE6 never sold that well and wasn't as great of game as people expected. Roy's inclusion in Melee was only for the sake of advertisement, as Melee was released before the debut of FE6. There is no need for Roy for advertisement in Melee, Roy is the inferior clone of Marth, and Roy is not a Nintendo 'All-Star'. He appeared in one game as a Lord and the game wasn't even as successful when compared to other games.
Marth is a definite keep in Brawl. Ike was an obvious addition, because Ike was the main Lord in the first 3D FE game and starred as a Lord in two FE games. Roy had no definite addition to the innovations made in the FE series other than being the first of three GBA games.
Marth + Ike are confirmed.
Sigurd and/or one of the FE7 Lords are the likely 3rd FE character.
Sigurd starred as the first lord of BY FAR the MOST successful FE game ever. There were two storylines in the game in which Sigurd was the first Lord of the first storyline. In the timeskip, you control Sigurd's son Celice as the Lord. By popularity, he's a favorite in Japan to FE veterans.
1 of the FE7 Lords are also a likely addition, as it does hold a large amount of ground being the first American FE game. However, there's discrepancy into the favoritism of the 3 Lords.
In Japan: Eliwood > Lyndis > Hector
In USA: Hector > Lyndis > Eliwood
That's about all I have to say on Fire Emblem characters.
