You know, I was bored one day and decided that since there's been a character update every week, we'd eventually run out of old characters to update, and get a brand new newcomer during the week of October 22-26. Hmmm...that's right after E for all...Of course this is assuming Ice Climber and Game and Watch will be in, and assuming the standard Pichu/Doc Mario/Roy/Young link are getting cut.
Also, I pre-ordered brawl from gamestop.com yesterday, so I can no longer say "I'm not getting Brawl if (character) isnt in the game" since I already bought it =(
Hyrule Temple was a horrible stage imo =/ I want standard levels too, but ugh Hyrule Temple was not standard.
Anyway, loved the new update. Timing jumps off opponents heads to meteor smash? yes plz. Can you imagine how rigged it would be if it was a spike? XD
I'm not a competitive player so I have to ask, what's Meteor Smash?
a move that sends your opponent straight down, generally used when they're trying to get back onto the stage, although it can be countered by using their recovery move with the correct timing.

They said 40 characters, 60 levels, and 2-3 of those characters would be 3rd party.
So far, on that list, if they count ZSS, there's 15. I think mewtwo's likely, as general prediction says with losing Pichu, they'll add a new pokemon (lucario!) and then have 4 pokemon slots, as jigglypuff is surprise asskicking novelty, and Pikachu's the face of the damn game.

... Well, Pikachu is going to be in. He's already on the Vetran Fighter list.
Pikachu's my main runner, mainly because I like dashing about and I haven't mastered Mewtwo - my idiot brother broke two copies of Super Smash Brothers Melee, but once he gets a copy of Brawl I'm going to nick it for safekeeping. Lucario would be interesting, seeing as his abilities are similar to Mewtwo's but he's much lighter and faster, which means he'll be weaker and easier to knock off.

Ummm... I thought it was kind of obvious that it was a list of the characters that have been revealed up to this point...
I really hope the footstool jump isn't overpowered....
It's like a spike, but you can counter it by jumping or doing your up+b attack at just the right moment (almost immediately after you get hit).
So where'd you get this Fighter's Megamix number?
Edit: I do know the 2-3 3rd Party character quote is true. Though, it's maybe.
I'd hate to be stuck quoting no one, but when searching the net for news, apparently sakurai said it in the same broadcast interview at the time he said the 2-3.
i could be wrong, but the people at smashboards use it as a base, and i dont think it'd be a mistake to use it as a guideline to predictions.
Yeah KSS was had the best fighting in all the kirby games. But didn't Sakurai, the director of Brawl also help make kirby games? A bit more kirby would not be a bad thing.
Many want and/or expect to see King Dedede as a character..

Ignoring the obvious facts, I'm enjoying this update. I'm a big Kirby fan, and I decided to look over the move names since I was curious. They match. I was really happy when I saw that. Then I discovered that there's another picture when you go to Items -> Assist Trophies. You'll find a new icon clip for Knuckle Joe. It's a different stage (I'm guessing Delfino Plaza or Smashville. I'm not sure, could be something else), and it has him jumping. What's scary, is that it's how Knuckle Joe jumps in KSS. Now that's just awesome.
I think this is why they're taking so long to develop it. HAL/Other helpers are taking their sweet time playing older games to acquire details that could help animate characters to make them look and act how they play in other games. If they decide to use the details. NES only characters are a bad example of what I just said. Or those who haven't exactly been on a physical platform to move or jump.

I would love to see King Dedede, being fan of Kirby games since the NES. It was a surprise for me actually King Dedede was left out in Melee.
I hope to see Sheik in the game, she was one of my best and favorite characters.
I'm not liking how most of the stages confirmed are all "breakable".. we need some bigger normal stages.
And what is Knuckle Joe? Which Kirby games were he featured in and what can he do..? What makes him more special than King Dedede to get a slot in Brawl (this is if Dedede doesn't get one.)

Knuckle Joe isn't an actual character. >_> It's an assist trophy if you bothered to read.
The 40 characters thing is fale.
The 60 levels thing is false.
2 - 3 third party characters (including Snake) is true.
The first comes from a fake radio interview which said that G&W, YLink, and ICs were going away for Bowser Jr, WW Link, and Ridley.
The second is completely made up.
The third is from Sakurai's replies to Japanese emails.

Kirby Super Star. He's the Helper for the Fighter ability. He's also the enemy Kirby sucks in and swallows to get the Fighter Ability.
Knuckle Joe has also made appearances in some of the other later Kirby games.
I think a lot of the old characters will be cut, mainly Roy, Young Link, and Falco, since they're all clones. :P Ganondorf might make the cut, though, but this time as his own character, possibly as he was in the final part of the final battle in LoZ TP. I'm hoping another Pokemon makes it to the main roster. I'm really looking forward to trying out Pit, too...
The Final Smash thing looks awesomely cool. Unfortunately, I also think that this will make the speedy characters too powerful, unless their final smashes will be weaker.
