Celebi (Special Attacker + U-turn)

The spread sounds great, so I'll add it in as well. tbh, I don't think 252 EVs with a Modest nature is an exact necessity, and I've always been a supporter of Modest + <252 spreads.
 
I would like to point out that the 176 HP / 252 SpA / 80 Spe Timid spread in AC is outclassed by 176 HP / 156 SpA / 176 Spe Modest, which yields 3 more points in SpA and 1 less point in speed. Then again, I don't really see why it would need that extra point because 280 is just enough to outrun Adamant Lucario anyway.

Hmm, good catch, Super Mario Bro! You forgot that HP Fire results in a Speed IV of 30 and Special Attack IV of 30, so the spread should be 176 HP / 152 SpA / 180 Spe. Celebi gains 1 extra Special Attack point, but that's still better than nothing.
 
Okay, this is all written up, though I still don't know whether to name this plain, good ol' "Special Attacker", "Offensive Scouter", or "Navi" (I've been looking for a NAVI acronym, then I gave up, haha). Feel free to check it, though I don't want a second GP check until after I talk with a few guys.
 
in my opinion u could add stealth rocks as an option since u could use celebi as a stealth rocker if u need a pokemon that can set up rocks safely,and with u turn u can get out of situations where u cant set up rocks,i tihnk it deserves a mention. And im with Pocket,psychic deservers a mention and it really grants u a stab coverege that should be considered.

Why this set should be on-site:

  • One of the most popular, if not THE most popular (according to statistics), Celebi sets in the current metagame
  • An immediately powerful attacker that doesn’t require much prediction (Natural Cure helps)
  • Achieves the best coverage
  • Unlike other Celebi sets, isn’t limited by coverage since it has three special attacks
  • Great typing and good Speed, along with Baton Pass or U-turn, makes Celebi suitable for many offensive or balanced teams
  • Provides great utility depending on the fourth move used (covered below)
Additional Comments

  • U-turn allows for easy scouting, except it deals minor damage and doesn’t block Pursuit.
  • Scizor can be beaten with Leaf Storm + -2 Hidden Power Fire
  • Baton Pass can be used for an easy escape from Pursuit, although the -2 boost can be annoying
  • Life Orb recoil adds up pretty fast if you're considering it, so it's not particularly recommended over Leftovers.
  • U-turn doesn't solve Heatran problems, but you can at least scout it out and either use a counter or Earth Power later.
  • Do I really have to get in-depth with the natures here? (Well actually there's some viable spreads that can be used alongside the Modest nature, explained below)
  • Significant Speed investment is preferred because Celebi doesn’t have Thunder Wave, and can outrun many Pokemon before they can hit it.
  • Celebi may also use Psychic in place of Earth Power if certain Steel-types are not issues. Psychic serves as a good coverage option against Tentacruel and Conkeldurr.
  • 176 HP / 152 SpA / 180 Spe, Modest (outruns neutral base 90 Pokemon) and yields more overall benefit than Timid spreads.
  • and 144 HP / 252 SpA / 112 Spe, Modest (outruns Adamant Dragonite) for more bulk and a good amount of Speed.
Teammates and Counters

  • Teammates include Pokemon that can switch into Pursuit and U-turn for Celebi, since these moves are exactly what it’s trying to escape from
  • Fill in those coverage holes (depends on the Hidden Power)
  • Counters for Scizor and Ferrothorn if running Hidden Power Ice, counters for Dragonite and friends if running Hidden Power Fire.
  • Doesn’t have Thunder Wave to cripple Latios, Latias, and Volcarona, so get teammates for them as well.
  • Possibly best used with another U-turn or Volt Switch user, a reason why this set probably gained popularity in the first place.

Thanks for the final GP check, and this is pretty much done.

Somebody can upload this and/or make the name change over SCMS if necessary, but I'll try talking to some people before uploading. There's only three instances of "Navi" on the analysis, so if push comes to shove, it's easy to edit.
