Pet Mod Clean Slate Micro 2

Winners. Thats a lot of metal. Sheet will be recreated eventually.
:ss/virizion:
Name of the Pokemon: Virizion
Role(s): Stallbreaker, Trapping
Type: Steel / Grass
Abilities:
Justified / Sap Sipper | HA: Steely Spirit
Stat Distribution: 61 HP / 90 Atk / 86 Def / 70 SpA / 99 SpD / 88 Spe
Movepool Additions: Anchor Shot, Leech Seed, Taunt, Horn Leech
Movepool Removals: Close Combat
Justification: Earl had a snappy example for a role, and I knew I was planning on going Steel / Grass with this, so I decided to say fuck it! Virizion plays like a hybrid of Heatran, Ferrothorn and probably something else I dont know.

Pokemon: Eiscue
Roles: Setup Sweeper
Type:

Steel.png

Abilities:
Ice Face
Stats: 75 / 50 / 90 / 95 / 110 / 55 (475 BST)
Noice Stats: 75 / 50 / 50 / 95 / 70 / 135 (475 BST)
Movepool Additions: Flash Cannon, Nasty Plot, Knock Off
Justification: Eiscue's design space is pretty interesting, but it never really panned out due to its poor coverage, belly drum, and over-reliance on breaking Ice Face. I hope to fix these shortcomings by shifting to a special focus, with the more sustainable Nasty Plot and a secondary Steel-typing to give it a much needed survivability boost. I also swapped the defenses because, honestly, only Special Defense matters here. With this setup it should be able to get off Nasty Plots pretty consistently and threaten basically anything but Aegislash with just Freeze Dry/Flash Cannon/Hydro Pump. Balanced out by the aforementioned Aegislash, Chandelure before the ice breaks, and Pichu post-break.

Abilities: Sand Spit, Shed Skin | No Guard
Stat Distribution: 75 / 60 / 125 / 110 / 70 / 80 | 520
Movepool Additions: Gust, Rapid Spin, Shore Up, Twister
Justification: CSM2 still has no Flying-type and only one Electric-immunity. Sandaconda-Gmax is a neat counter to Pichu and Solgaleo, and can checks the likes of Zangoose and Virizion. It brings a lot of utility with status spreading through Scorching Sands and Glare and hazard with Stealth Rock and Rapid Spin. It is quite keep to special attackers like Eiscue and Omastar, and needs to stay healthy to reliably beat Zangoose and Virizion due to not resisting their moves.
Sandaconda-Gmax @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Shed Skin / Sand Spit
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA

:ss/lumineon:
Name of the Pokemon: Lumineon
Role(s): Special Wall, Defog, Pivot
Type:
Water.png
Bug.png

Abilities: Thick Fat
Stat Distribution: 90 / 80 / 90 / 80 / 120 / 80 | 540
Movepool Additions: Roost, Whirlwind
Justification: Not gonna lie, I struggled a bit with this one. CSM2 would highly benefiate from a bulky Water to check the likes of Eiscue, Chandelure, and Carracosta. The Water-Bug typing combined with Thick Fat was the only one I could come up with to deal with all these threats. It succeeds to resist Fire, Water, Ice, and Steel, while not being weak to Freeze-Dry and Dark Pulse, letting it handle the threats it was meant to. Bug can seem like an awful secondary typing to have, but it brings some useful resistances and also lets Lumineon threaten Carracosta. I considered the Fairy-typing, but it would have made Lumineon to similar to Komala. Overall, Lumineon is extremely bulky and can handle most special attackers, however it is easy to cripple due to no way to play around status and being easily forced out by Knock Off due to its hazard weakness. Its quite underwhelming offensive stats, also mean it is not so hard to play around.
Lumineon @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Roost

Abilities: Effect Spore | Immunity
Stat Distribution: 65 / 90 / 110 / 90 / 130 / 105 | 590
Movepool Additions: Body Press, Knock Off, Seismic Toss, Strength Sap
Justification: Tangrowth's typing lets it blanket check most attackers including Carracosta, Pichu, and Virizion. It can also make progress with Knock Off, Spore, and Effect Spore. That said it's typing leaves it quite weak to status and Fire-types like Zangoose and Chandelure, as well as other threats like Komala, Aegislash, and Solgaleo.

Stat Distribution: 70 / 75 / 140 / 85 / 70 / 120 | 560
Movepool Additions: Clanging Scales, Draco Meteor, Outrage, Power Gem, Scale Shot, U-turn
Justification: We got no Dragon- nor Rock-type, hence making Onix a very unique threat able to threaten offense but struggling into bulkier Pokemon such as Komala and Aegislash. It also makes for an offensive check to Zangoose and Chandelure, something offensive teams seem to struggle to fit.

Type:

Abilities: Cursed Body / Infiltrator
Stat Distribution: 88 / 75 / 100 / 75 / 80 / 112 | 530
Movepool Additions: Hurricane, Air Slash, Air Cutter, Defog, Pain Split
Movepool Removals: all Dragon-type moves, Fire Blast, Hydro Pump, Thunder, Thunderbolt
Justification: effective fast wall due to its pretty good matchups against most of the physical attackers so far (besides carracosta and qwilfish). has a lot of versatility in its movepool but lacks reliable recovery or a particularly noteworthy ability.

:ss/kingdra:
Name of the Pokemon: Kingdra

Movepool Additions: Acrobatics, Air Slash, Air Cutter, Defog, Roost, Incinerate, Darkest Lariat
Movepool Removals: Hydro Pump
Justification: being a special fire resist with recovery is good, as is being a defogger. has a niche sniper set too. has an even nicher dragon dance set too.

Stat Distribution: 84 / 83 / 117 / 63 / 67 / 114 | 528
Movepool Additions: Knock Off, Pain Split, Gunk Shot, Spiky Shield
Movepool Removals: Sticky Web, Memento, Bug Buzz, Megahorn
Justification: Ariados's main function is to be a fastish physically defensive wall that can cripple offensive Pokémon with Toxic and Knock Off, and force chip via Spiky Shield. If one would like, it can also set up Toxic Spikes to annoy opposing forces.

Stat Distribution: 126 / 81 / 59 / 76 / 71 / 73 | 486
Movepool Additions: Lava Plume
Movepool Removals: U-Turn
Justification: Talonflame stats got swapped around and now pulls off the defensive utility roles it does in lower tiers, albeit with the caveat of sacrificing U-turn. It instead leans more into spreading status between Lava Plume + Flame Body and Toxic.

Abilities: Sticky Hold
Stat Distribution: 68 / 70 / 137 / 85 / 79 / 61 | 500
Movepool Additions: Recover, Flip Turn
Justification: Handles Carracosta and Zangoose with sheer bulk and Body Press. Provides solid support with Stealth Rock and pivoting.

Abilities: Heatproof
Stat Distribution: 75 / 75 / 75 / 95 / 130 / 55 | 505

Justification: Handles Chandelure, Eiscue, and special variants of Carracosta.

Abilities: Solid Rock
Stat Distribution: 80 / 90 / 100 / 85 / 100 / 55 | 510
Movepool Additions: Milk Drink
Justification: Handles Chandelure and Pichu very well. Its offenses are just high enough to kill Eiscue with Lava Plume and Zangoose with Earthquake. Can set Stealth Rock, or if that is already covered, would be very good at spreading Toxic.

:ss/delibird:
Name of the Pokemon: Delibird
Role(s): Offensive Pivot, Spikes,
Type:
Ice.png
Flying.png

Abilities: Magic Guard
Stat Distribution: 80 / 75 / 55 / 70 / 50 / 120 | 460
Movepool Additions: U-turn, Encore
Movepool Removals: Destiny Bond,
Justification: Magic Guard allows free use of Life Orb, and with strong STABs Brave Bird and Triple Axel, this hits harder than you might think. It gets some other coverage moves like Drill Run, Gunk Shot, and Seed Bomb, as well as support moves like Spikes, Rapid Spin, and Defog.

Alright, we're actually gonna roll this over into gen 9 come this friday. Voting will end then, and we will immediately have a revisions slate to update the existing mons to work within the current generation mechanics. I'm preemptively banning Tera because I know its gonna be broke and I don't like it.

All right, that's cool and all, but we're moving this mod into gen 9! While it will be staying micro for now, there's a lot of stuff to review and change. Not gonna carry over movepool updates because that would invalidate a fair number of subs for no reason.
:solrock: - Dauntless Shield only triggers once per game. Is a compensation buff necessary?
:Komala: Gained Gunk Shot and Ice Spinner (80 BP Ice, removes terrain). Doesn't seem particularly concerning.
:Qwilfish: Now that Hisuian Qwilfish is in a mainline game, do we want to change it to that mon? Or Overqwil? Ema Skye your call
:Eiscue: Hail has been cut, now we have snowstorm. Instead of chip it gives Ice-types boosted Defense.
:Magneton: Can we update this to Sandy Shocks lol. Also this gets Voltage which is a little insane? Might remove that
Everything gets Tera Blast, I guess?

Those are the only mechanically notable changes outside of the universal recovery nerf I think. For this next short slate, I'll make it an open form submission style for generation updates. Think something could use a new move? Want to distribute a fitting ability? Suggest it below, and once we've collected a few ideas we'll y/n vote on what was submitted to implement the changes for a new gen.

Also on the voting block with be Tera. Do we want that or not lol

Abilities:
Quark Drive / Infiltrator | Electromorphosis
Stat Distribution: 104 / 92 / 66 / 112 / 80 / 76 (530 BST)
Movepool Additions: Swords Dance, Dual Wingbeat, Draco Meteor, Dragon Claw, Superpower, Thunderbolt, Thunder, Wild Charge, Defog, Recover
Movepool Removals: Flamethrower, Focus Blast, Fire Blast, Heat Wave, Earth Power, U-Turn
Justification: Has the tried-and-true Taunt+Recovery+Power combo that makes a great stallbreaker. Dragon/Flying has a fair amount of defensive utility against the many of the wallbreakers in this meta, and the combo specifically checks Sandy Shock's Rising Voltages decently well. It also pairs with the fellow Paradox pretty well, getting a nice offensive boost from the terrain. Removed U-Turn and special coverage against Steels to ensure it has some opportunity cost while giving it Defog and Roost to ensure it holds a niche over Onix (who looks insane for the record).

Stat Distribution: 85 / 50 / 100 / 95 / 75 / 95 (500 BST)
Movepool Additions: Synthesis, Stealth Rock, Nasty Plot, Frost Breath
Justification: Thanks to its statline and abilities, Wo-Chien is either a very fat physical wall or a decently threatening special attacker. While Beads Nasty Plot sets struggle with Steels, it has the dark coverage to at least threaten Aegislash and can generally wear down non-Virizion steels over time with Leech Seed or just blasting off Leaf Storms. For Tablet wall sets, Knock Off and Stealth Rock should be enough utility to justify it as a particularly sturdy Carracosta answer.
